Hi Sti.
I tried the 1280 & 1024 £5 JP versions and the ¬ button works as a cancel on them both.

Hi STE,
Are you in the UK? If you are, can you make sure that your keyboard layout is set to UK? If you need a hand, let us know.
If you live somewhere other than the UK or if the layout is set up incorrectly it won't work. You can change the button shortcut as well if needs be.
At the top of MFME, click the Design button, and then click 'Edit Mode'. Next, right click on the Cancel button [its the one on the far left, at the bottom where the hold buttons are].
Click on Properties, and you'll see a box that says 'Keyboard Shortcut' - all you need to do is delete the text in the box next to it [it'll say 0xdf which is the button next to 1], although all you have to do is press the key that you want to use.
Slightly off topic, but these are the WORST coded ROMs EVER [1024 WDX £5 by Cheese] - if you go above 99 credits, you get A>Z something credits, and it gives 'Invalid Alarm' errors, and 'Cred RangeHi' errors.
