To be honest it's difficult enough buying one good Epoch board these days - so although the ones from Stemik will be fine, I wouldn't expect him to shift that far on price...

£20 per board is a very low price - Just getting one repaired will cost more than that.

If you can avoid this tech your save hundreds of pounds.

Yep I Do Agree Its C@@P Tech

I Have A Simple Idear From Now On Im Not Going To Solder The Battery Directly To The Battery But

But Fit A 20cm Strip Of Speaker Cable From A Board To A New Battery - So If It Is To Leak Again It Wont Damage The Board :)

If Anyone Do Have The Odd One Im happy To Pay £30 Per Board But If I Can Get Delivery In The £30 Im Even Happyer :)

Yep that's what people with expensive classics have been doing for a while - it's a good idea.

Either that or do a mod to fit a lithium coin cell - but this requires component modification (to stop the board trying to charge the non-rechargeable battery).

Indeed, very wrong.

It will be interesting to see if a board that has a circuit designed to charge a 12 mAh battery can manage to charge an 80mAh battery though...

It probs would work, but I am betting over time, that it's charge circuit is not strong enough, and what will happen there, is the battery will eventualy go flat.

It's no problem charging something with a lower ampage charger, but if you do it with too strong of a chage, then the battery will likley go bang!

That's right it will probably only be able to trickle charge it, and never do it fully...
