Hi i just bought a Barcrest Black and White Special fruit machine today,i have no idea how to work it.
When i turn it on it says BLAC 1.6 then it stays on AL24 A7 on the LED display,is it anything to do with the hopper being empty?
Also the "status LED" inside flashes red several times then green for a second then back to red.
The person i bought it from says it doesn't require a refill key as it has been set up to use a button instead, located in the box underneath.
I downloaded the MPU5 Genesis Manual and the Barcrest Single Hopper PDF but still have no idea.
I pressed the test button inside ( can only find 1 ) and the dump hopper button and stuff like start / hold etc now the LED display is blank after it flashes BLAC 1.6 for a second after i turn it on and the reels will only spin round if the door is open ( when i turn the mains on ) as it's starting up.
Does this mean it's in some sort of test mode?
Thanks, any help would be much appreciated.

AL24 im not too sure about, these machines dont have a long Alpha Numerica display so its harder to determine what the problem is from the MPU5 manual as the only one I have is for the Genesis Cab.
The only thing that corrisponds with AL24 is Reel 4 Error, so when the alarms going off to any of the reels flash at all?

Here we are
(lights) (code) (problem)
10 - 7 24 A7 REEL D SETUP FATAL
Reel D will be the Hi Lo reel in the top half of the machine. Have a look to see if it spins feely and the wires are all plugged in properly on the reel and the reel board at the back of the 3 reels in the bottom half of the machine. If all seems okay it could be a dirty opto sensor, If you look on the bottom reels there is a small black tab on the reel itself, this passes through a black sensor on the reel arm, find this one the 4th reel and give it a clean, failing this it will needed to be changed so swap it with one from one of the other reels and see if the error changes then we will go from there
