Hi all
First post so please be gentle - I need a bit of help
First time I have tried playing a fruity where you download the ROM and layout separately. I've downloaded the 'all in one' emulation software and I just cannot fathom out how to use MFME 1 to play the game.
I've read the tutorials and still cannot get it to work. I've tried them in separate directories etc. I've managed to get as far as loading the layout but it says it 'cannot find ROM' so i'm at a loss
Probably a stupid question I know, but any help would be appreciated, especially a dumbed down version of how to use it!!
Thanks a lot
Ash

You have to unrar/unzip the rom and the layout into the same place , ie make a folder called ABC (whatever the machines name is) , and when MFME is loaded up , point it to that folder to find the .gam file.
Re: Using MFME v1.1 unless the layout NEEDS v1.1 to run , i would use MFME 3.2 as that will run 99% of all layouts (apart from the ones that need v9.4 or 10.1 obv) .
MFME v 1.1 was one of the first emulators to come out and is a bit 'outdated' now , there have been a lot of improvements and tweaks that went into the later versions..3.2 is the best one.

Hi and welcome to the site, I normally download the game and extract to desktop then do the same for the roms then I highlight all downloaded parts and send to zipped file then I extract that to "madhouse" say. It then should become a brown file which I then put into where my fruits are it works for me but people have there own way of doing things hopefully this will help

If your finding it difficult try a version that has the roms in with the layout

Oh , does this run on v2 , i wasnt sure .. i just said v3.2 as its the one i use most because it seems the most 'universal' , has better tweaks auto resize , auto throttle .. etc.
Didnt mean to confuse you Ash.

Ah yes sorry peeps forgot about the mfme 1.1 bit so 3.2 is your friend if you wish to resize.

Sorry for the late replies, bloody work! if I could take these with me I would. I might have to take a bit of time off to play all these little beauties..
I haven't had enough time to try your advice yet but I will do over the weekend
Thanks for the warm welcome, to be honest I expected a bit of abuse but got nothing pleasantly surprised
Have a good weekend,
Cheers

Were all good blokes on this site Ash , and lasses .... well i try to be the best i can lol , ask the right questions in the right way , you get the right response.
Too many n00bs DEMAND answers to certain things , and IF they get a reply , never usually off me cos i wont entertain it..they never come back with a thanks.
Not saying newbies should sook up our arses , to get thier questions answered , a bit of manners and politeness go a long way though.
Anyways welcome again , any other questions fire away .. enjoy the site and join in the banter we all have with each other on here , as well as the serious side of things occasionally.
