RAM is RAM, no forcing of details is necessary. I agree with pressing F12 though, simply to make sure you have loaded the correct RAM (although as long as you replace the original it shouldn't be a problem!)

Maybe force is the wrong word, but I can only get the emulator to use a different ram file by actually hitting f12 after the substituting and renaming. Maybe it is because I only move the original. I was just always advised to use f12 after I once queried why replacing the ram hadn't worked.

Doesn't F12 just toggle long-term meters on and off? When you put a new RAM into the folder, the emulator will read that RAM. I've usually found it best to completely delete the old RAM from my comp too.

The IN/OUT readings are stored in the .gam file, which is why they don't show up right once the game is launched with a different RAM. It doesn't make any difference in the end - a happy RAM is still happy, regardless of what the meters say.

Ahhh... I always forget to include GAM files with my RAM files, many thanks for that. I've got my JP ready one for Rio Grande £500, but to be honest it's not that hard to JP from the layout, just shove £600 in and refuse all wins. If anyone wants it though, I'll stick it up when I'm at that PC :)

Hmmmm. Ok, I have the layout with kriss's ram and a tiny number of plays. I then get bencrests ram file, do a replace and hit f12 and I get the 3473 in on the meter. How the hell did I get that if it stored in the gam?

Interesting point. However, a RAM stores all of the machines information, including (obviously) plays, percentages, and meters.

If you look at a GAM file in notepad, it clearly stores some meters. I'm wondering if these integers in the GAM file are only for use in the 'Game Manager' - before a layout is even loaded, so you can see percentages e.t.c. without having to load the ROM and RAM?

Really not sure. If you open the gam, you'll see the meter readings are stored there. Pressing F12 doesn't update the meters on my comp, but it could be an OS issue I suppose.

Why not check the .gam values before and after you press F12? I'm almost certain MFME reads the meters from the .gam

Maybe I'll delete it all and start again. It could be it just came up with 3000 and something and I just read it as 3473', but you are right, the meter values are in the .gam file.

Can you not just upload them to this thread. That would be appropriate. Just mention the proper machine name in the post.

Thanks for the upload. Had a play around with it and seems quite happy. Managed to hi-lo up to £40 at one point. Cashpots started at about £27 and £80 - does that sound right?

Yes that was what the cashpots were when I uploaded the ram here.
I am often getting the gamble to £40 but it never seems to go higher but the happy ram does make you a 4 star contestant quite often

I was playing this until 4am this morning and again from 11am this morning!
It is now offering me the cashpot on nudges but I am refusing it and playing on until I loose or get the bus fare home but I exit the game at that time. I am also refusing £10 and £20 wins from nudges on the reels and any nudges I get I do not put wins in!
So I am really forcing this to its limits :jiggy:

You won't get the gamble higher than £40 on the scorpion 2 versions,it was capped at that you will notice the number is always a 4 or a 3 when you reach £40 on the scorpion 4 clones this was upped to £50.

Here's a completely unnecessary RAM for the 1024 WDX of Casino Crazy Keys (£25 / 30p / Gala Bingo ROMs), it's owing about £800 or something at the moment (seriously).

Extract the RAM

I've just put £25 in and it paid exactly £200, then I put another £25 in and managed £299 out. So, that's £500 out for £50 in, and there's plenty left in it :D

For this version :

Happy RAM for everyone's favourite machine, Cops n Robbers Club on Scorpion 2. I recommend using Pook's brilliant 1280 to play this.

It's cashpot happy at least, and probably will pay a jackpot too if pressed. Best way is to use the cashpots trick, hold any Cashpot symbol on or above the line and wait for nudges. Might also give you it from nudges on Millionaires Row. Should go without too much hassle.
