I'm tired of playing them crappy old Barcrest machines. I know you're all doing you durndest to create new layouts and are restricted by this new MPU5 encrypted technology but I knows you can do it. Thunderbirds was good, Vindaloot wasn't bad, Your Lucky Knight was a good effort but it's a shi-ite machine. So come along now chaps, there must be plenty of 3 year old emulatable machines out there. Enough of these stinky old prehistoric Barcrest dinosaurs. I stuck £80 in a Maygay "Italian Job" £25er the other day and it's all YOUR fault. It never paid me out more than £4. Somebody in this forum owes me £80 and I want it.

To be honest, I hate ALL £25 machines.
Take me back 10 years, it was more fun then, and at least tokens could be changed for beer at the bar

Yeah, I agree, the £25ers are REALLY nasty, I just wanna see more off them. I wanna know how much you have to shove in a 70%/25p/£25 Maygay "Italian Job" to get a £25 JP no-repeat immediately after it's streaked £75. £100? £200? £1000? £2000? £4000?
The old machines WERE more fun. I remember playing Exchanges Unlimited and Hyper Vyper (the old one) when you could get a pint of beer for 50p. Ho hum.

Yeah, bring back lower jackpots and have more playabilty, dunno about tokens tho, it is kinda handy getting paid out in pound coins.

I don't understand your post...
Plenty of 3 year old emulatable machines
What, plenty being about 20 JPMs?! No EPOCHs or MPU5s can be emulated.
Oh, and its not my fault you lost £80 in an Italian Job, its your fault for having shite judgement

I think that Deadsy's comment about us all owing him £80 was slightly tongue-in-cheek BB.
That Italian Job is utter pish though. I too put around £70 in one (first time I've touched one of the buggers in 3 years)...I kept getting 3 white mini's and thought I was in some kind of invincible mode....should have known better....On one go it took me around 10 minutes to get up to £15 and then it killed me even though I had an extra life....bastard!!! Now I know why I gave them up!!!!

I thought the whole point of FME, was to have the ability to play older machines that are no longer available in arcades?

As was mine
I found on the Maygays of that era [I used to play Carry On Screaming loads ], that they would offer a board at £15, then die for about £15>£20, then give the IM and either not repeat + another IM OR Repeat and in either case give a little after play, say a £10 board straight after.
I used to love Trivial Pursuit as well, always got £25 within a £25 round the back force, never repeated though
Oh, and to clarify the above, I wasn't saying :
'fook off I don't owe you anything', more like one of my usual
'what do you expect when you put that much into a shite machine, and what other machines within 3 years could be emulated anyway?!'

Sorry but you love £25'ers because you just won 66 quid.
Ok i will swap you one £25 big cheese for a £10-£15 viva espania and we will see who has won what in £40
I bet i end up with more.
Winning on one £25 and getting £66 is no big feat, the older machines with £8,£10,£15 used to streak past the £100 mark so i still say the older the better.
On subject £25 machines will appear soon but they didnt change the jackpot to £25 that long ago so most of them will still be under un emulatable tech.
Ciao for now

We would like to see more £2 Jackpot machines being emulated, like Top the Lot from Barcrest.
We would rather boil our nuts in oil than play a £25 emulated machine.

Yeah be careful of them Italian Jobs. Nasty machines when they want to be and especially if you're just trying to force them. They require a little tinkering around with nudging the right stuff in and then you can start winning on them.
Having said that, Yarmouth would be one of the worst places to start playing an Italian Job!!!!
Anyone seen any Madness machines lately?

There was one on eBay, no doubt it could be found by doing a completed items search. It also went for somewhere about the £400 mark from what I remember

Cheers Eddiec but i can go older than that if i needed to.
2p a play £2.40 jp any cherry on the line = 2p credit back
These machines used to pay the win out immediatly so imagine the noise when you got a jp. the highest value coin it held was 10p so 24 of them plus a load of 2ps for the cherrys before and your laughing.

I remember playing an Eastender's - Albert Aquare in an arcade in st.annes a few years ago - 5p play £3 JP. Won the JP and it repeated three times - so for £2, i had £12 cash. Went back to my hotel, put a pound in some wee old, machine (5p £2.40 JP) and got about £7.20 out of it (was one of them old joker type things, with printed cloth behind the glass rather than a vacuumed sheet of plastic) - not bad when you're just a wee kid .

The problem with fruities nowadays is that they never last very long in pubs etc... one of my favourite of recent times is supercharged, however i have'nt seen it anywhere fo months. I think the original poster was saying in a really c**t like way is that is it possible to emulate this machines now or in the future as they are "classics" to some of us now??

Supercharged is in one of my locals, along with loads of BFMs [I didn't think ANYONE would still have a LOTR 1 in a pub?!]
I like SuperCharged, plenty for a non-regular gambler to slip up on, like using available nudges to get say Flags and JP on winline for Tutti Fruity - trust me, loads of players out there don't know what stuff like Tutti Fruity is
Oh, it is a rechip, if you try the emptier it makes a noise and says NO NUDGE WIN AVAILABLE or something similar on the alpha!
