I,Ve got both of these monopoly,s and golden game and the pdx versions but can,t upload cause I,ve altered Background colours and stuff to suit me so I looks more like the machine etc sorry

Just upload them, and in the thread, state that they are not your creation, thanking the original designer, but you have edited to your taste...

... it is up to the members then if they wish to download, and then thank you for uploading and the original creator.

As long as you state they are not your layout creation in the release, and you have mentioned the original designer, I really don't see that there should be a problem with it.

I see robins point on these layouts maybe these missings layouts should be put under a topic called "missing layouts" not new releases as they,re not actually new releases cause they,ve been released before just not on here lo

I think thats a really good idea.

Tried creating a topic earlier but had a few problems applying it....Duplu may have to add it.

What kind of format do you all think should it have if it's applied?

Post's that can't allow replies is my idea...that way an upload wouldn't get lost in a troll of (whats basically nice to see) thank-you's....

EG, you see a release in reply One, then a release in reply 2 and so-on......

I agree Ady mate... Perhaps just a topic Archived Releases or Updated Releases for the title, and we have the Thanks icon we can click, perhaps if we were all permitted to tick the Thanks button more for this would be a good idea, as it is limited to daily use.

As you say, the re-releases would just get lost in posts and others asking for this, that and the other, so if it could just be made where the release can be uploaded by the person submitting it and downloaded by the forum members, with the 'Thanks' button active, I think this would be an ideal solution to the missing layout floods we are getting, which indeed I am finding very useful in updating my collection.

Looking forward to see how this progresses.

Edit: Sorry the 'Thanks' button is actually the 'Like This' button I was referring to... sorry about that - I am getting my forums mixed up! lol

The issue i have with uploading to a forum thread is that they need to also go in to the central downloads database, so people in the future can search just the downloads section, and not have to search through loads of forum threads. This was the whole point really to make layouts available easily for all. The way i would like it fixed is for a way to upload but not make a new release post each time. So that new layouts, such as Red Hot Fever, are not compromised by older ones.

I agree totally. Forums posts disappear and the links in them and attachments can also disappear in the future whereas the downloads area is always maintained and is easier to search. Unfortunately the release threads are created automatically.

Thanks Duplu. I really do not want to just post layouts to a forum thread, for the reasons mentioned by both myself and Duplu. I cannot see a way around it really !?

Looks like no way around this then. Personally I see no prob with the way it is already the missing layouts will eventually dry up there,s gonna be a fair few to start with, which over time they,ll become the odd one now and again. And also the red hot fever dx of robins has been there for approx 2 weeks now which if you,re a regular user like me is plenty of time and if you click onto the new release section they,re all in there from most recent backwards

Could a new section in the Discussion Forums be added called something like Updated and Re-released Layouts?

I am pretty sure that before Fruit Forums lost their database, they used to have a section with a re-release and updated layouts, where each updated and re-released layout could be added, like in the New Releases and WIP threads?

Either way I am not arsed, but a lot of the releases will not be 'New' so-to-speak, so therefore, the New Releases section doesn't really seem appropriate -but I shall be happy with whatever happens.

People are kinda missing the point here. Its about getting stuff out there and creating ONE forum to find layouts. Nothing wrong with having other sites of course!

New versions or different sizes of existing releases get uploaded all the time without the fuss so lets try and get as much stuff out there (old or new) as possible. I assumed that there had never been a DX or classic release of Millionaires club until this thread, and without the search engine put up by mort it would have been virtually impossible to find one.

Until Amber gets fully wound up (or i buy a laptop that will load it up), or MAME gets rolling isn't it better to get as many people fully enjoying everything that so many people have worked hard on to get out there and emulated? New releases will still get there place in the sunshine and maybe those capable of layouts can create new DX's of some of the lost or hidden layouts.
