hello.. im after any help i can get with my machine.. i fix one problem then i get another...
i bought it a few weeks ago... since then ive found loads of faults.. bought and fixed new brackets lights
now its the reels... sometimes they run ok but during play they freeze dont move at all .. they seem to lose there magnatism .. they dont hiss like the others.. i thought they were catching on sommit but they the same wen door open ..
also am i correct in thinking the machine wont pay out unless there is a certain ammount in it ....
i sorted out hopper cause it wouldnt except any coins so i dumped load x
this is my 1st machine and its panning my head in .. i kno i ws ripped off.. but im determined to get this as good as new...
any help offered woud be grately appreciated xx

For starters, think the machine you have is made by MDM and NOT Maygay, though it will probs use hardware made by Maygay (Poss an M1a / b setup, depending on the colour of the mainboard inside).
Way you are describing things, makes me think you have some loose plugs (Possibly at the MPU end, as more than one reel keeps failing), so those need checking.
Also this is VERY IMPORTANT, in that you check the condition of the battery on the mainboard (Normally blue or green and has Varta marked on it, and will be 2.4 volts), and if there is ANY signs of leakage (Or blue in colour), to remove it without delay, clean any leakage with Vinegar and an old toothbrush (Do not smoke or have any open flame going when doing cleaning, as the gas given off is flammable), rinse off with cold water, and leave to dry in a warm place for 24 hrs, then inspect for any damage and repair where needed.
Machine will run without a battery installed (For testing), but may behave odd when booting up (Ram clear alarm, but will clear after a few seconds automatically).
When replacing the battery, it's best practice to fly-wire it off the MPU with phone wire (Or anything similar), tape up any bear metal contacts, as the reason for this is to prevent any future battery leaks attacking the mainboard directaly. Replacement batteries can be obtained from Alex (aaamusements) via the link in my sig (He's a well known reg to FME and these very forums).
If you are still struggling, suggest you pay a visit to MPU Mecca, where the members are more geared towards machine repair, and can also help with any spares needed.

Just realised that you maybe dealing with a Maygay Epoch based machine (Which hardware wise, is a bastard to sort), and NOT M1a / b (I was thinking of MDM's Star Trekking), however what I have said still applies, though the battery will look different http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d3229bfa1
Maygay Epoch are especially prone to battery related problems due to the two small tracks that run under the battery, and even the slightest of leaks can write off the mainboard (One with the game rom chips installed), and right now there seams to be a shortage of replacement Epoch boards.
However if this is proven to be the case, either these forums or MPU Mecca can help gain a replacement.
