Hi im using xp pro with sp3, fourth icon in media player classic home cinema, To download from site i just d/click and it saves place files into a folder with the games name and away it goes, i havent tested all these games i know some want add credit, i have a 117 of them loaded on the itbox all working fine will do a list of the working ones when i get time, but the popular ones work ok like skillball bingo, deal or no deal, millionaire, play your cards right, countdown, crystal maze, skillball will only work on xp and is fussy about chipset cant get it to work on another xp machine i got, put c/maze on a pen a plugged into notebook loaded to menu screen added credit but didnt have sonar on it to test, but after that would not load it again, crytal maze is zipped up on site in compressed folder.

I have a VM configured like that for some old software I used for my last project - will give it a go and let you know.

Thanks for the info martin. I find it really interesting that you loaded cm on a notebook and it worked. It doesnt appear that it needs a touchscreen to load up. When it refused to load the second time did you get the cannot query environment message?

where can i download the emu lators for the it box and do i have to have a touch screen to use them or
can i just use on a normall pc etc plz help would love the emulator to play those it box titles

You need to register its free.

Go into repro stuff folder. Go into layout files and roms folder. Go into SWP roms and emulators. All the stuff you need is there. Theres loads of old threads on this site that will help you set them up. You dont need a touchscreen as theres a file called sonar which gives you a cursor on most games, doesnt work on all tho. Enjoy

thanks downloading now where do i find sonar from is it included and do i need the server bit?

The itbox server is another emulator you dont really need it. The sonar file is in the indie games folder. Sonar5setup.

When you say 'all the files' have worked for you what do you mean? I'm using xp sp3 same as you and what do I get when I load most of them- I get a message saying 'TELC 2 100 50 0 0' or similar and they crash. What are you doing differently?

Hi goodwin Same for me on xp sp3. except family guy, hells bells (buggy) and caesars (sort of loads but then doesnt work properly). I got Boggle to work by copying across my old Word Up comm file and deleting the one in marts folder then using the old inde emulator and it worked fine. B2S eliminator etc work without the emulator but show insert credit and trying to get credit on them I think, was one of the reasons for marts posts!

yeah family guy got on the game but the sonar doesnt work propally ihad that on can u dig it too and a couple of others but is there anything else to use instead of sonar i tried xhair3 but that didnt work on here either yeah i know he said some didnt have credit on them just hope someone finds out how to lol

sorry paolo and also did u find anymore that worked with the old inde emulator when u change the comm file

I notice a lot of these crash when accessing ddraw.dll - what version of Direct X is being used by the PCs that people are working with? I'm using 9.0c, and noticing that some games crash (CrsytalMaze7) but stuff like FruitiX works fine, despite being the same engine.

Hi elcondor. I was kinda looking into this myself. No luck yet tho. I did find this site http://www.falconfly.de/directx.htm which shows the different versions of direct x 9.0c and there release dates for xp. Theres quite a few. I've been trying a couple of older versions but no luck. Martin is using xp pro with sp3 tho and it works for him. That will be using a reasonably newer version of direct x 9 i would think. I'm very confused. Still trying tho.

No I use xhair3 on them- seems to work ok and doesn't cause as much picture intereference as sonar. Tried messing with a couple of the others but no joy with inde emulator.

Elcondor am using directX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904 to be exact!) xp home edition 5.1. Pretty old now!.

Family guy you should be able to edit the exe with hex editor to give yourself a cursor- its a good game! Spent £££££££ on it down the pub before
