yeah mixed bag c.o.m. and bejeweled work fine with the old inde sim emulator and u can edit the exes. TOTP2 works too but doesnt like the cursor edit. Monopoly and battlecards don't like it- it looks to me that they were made by games media and have a different set up routine?

I cant get monopoly or battlecards to work. TOTP2 works with inde sim and sonar- it shows no credit but just press play and it plays!

monopoly and battlecards work if you edit the game.ini and change shell from 1 to 0 but it plays in demo mode, which is fine for the emulator but its no good for me with the inde 16 in 1 front end on my touchscreen setup :(

Alright mate sorry Ive been out. I'll try in a bit. Monopoly works now Ive changed shell as you suggested - using inde platform emulator in background I just kept clicking on the credit where it says 0 and it added credit and plays. Are you saying you can already do that?

Cheers for sharing btw

Hi mate,
It's hard to explain, I can play monopoly etc with the emu running in the background on a normal pc, but I use a game box cabinet with touchscreen and I use the inde 16 in 1 emulator which automatically puts on £40 credit but for some reason it won't on monopoly,battle cards,and totp2, so it makes it unplayable in my cabinet because if I try them with changing the shell to 0 it plays then crashes the system when trying to exit and I have to power off the unit every time, it's only with them 3 games though.

How do you enable the cursor for Bejeweled?

For others am using hex edits:
monopoly
59a61=1
59a67=0

battlec
2cbc1=1
2cbc7=0

CrystalMaze7 is the JPM game, that was converted from running on a variant of the original standalone WWTBAM cab (which means it's probably heavily reliant on early Direct X 7 DLLs). IIRC, the original cab used a touchscreen, trackball and buttons, but the game was heavily cut down to run on touchscreen only once some location test showed how bad the original hardware was.

Fruitix uses the same engine, so I don't see why one works and the other doesnt, though I think Crystal Maze has to dynamically alter its resolution mid game, which may be causing problems.

The XP one is the one made by Cool Games, which also uses Direct X 7, but was purpose built for the Itbox, Inde and Paragon cabs, so it's a bit friendlier - given how IN:DE machines are configured, they may be able to use decent graphics like DX8 or OpenGL, as the overall hardware is a bit meatier.

EDIT: This is all a bit strange, as the era that these things came out it would be DX8, but I guess they were still using Windows NT as a platform. Anyway, I'm going to fiddle around with using different DLLs on the VM, and see what happens.
