I've only been mad on fruities now for about a year. Anyway, I was sitting in wetherspoons in devon somewhere and I noticed that the fruities there took notes. The lengths they go to get your money. Usually you could say, "I'll leave now because I'm out of change but I still got a fiver for a kebab." Scary. I kept my notes well away from it as I only like playing club machines.

I don't know what it is but some people on these forums talk like those who don't know as much as them are worthless. I haven't come on and started leaving offensive posts. Give me a chance.

My last reply to this..............You are right people do get knocked, then the bottom line is it's their own fault as they don't look first>>>>You DID and that makes all the difference, this though is nothing new--look at my first posts--lol

Sometimes the regulars DO sound 'off' then they say the same day-in-and-out, the idea isn't to deter people from posting, just to read things first.

...........Anyway!,there are more machines which with a bit of a tweek can accept notes, these are handy especially in wetherspoons when the bar person will only give you £40 worth of £1 coins then she says "Sorry, got no more change in the till and this has got to last till midnight",What crap!!!!

Has anyone played the BIG £500 jackpots and does the jackpot pay out in coins or notes?,i can see the future of fruit machine playing especially with the forthcoming relaxation in gambling laws that all payouts with be in notes,it will save refilling the machine with loads of coins!!!

..Much cheaper to play the fruities on here anyway!!!

Big jackpot £500? What about a £2000 machine that pays out in coins? :D

No doubt 2 'bucket' hoppers :D

Whilst at a Casino, I put a £20 in one of those note acceptor things to get change for the fag machine, it took £2 for plays and gave me £18 coins, however for the £2 I won £2000 :D , it was a american style press and hope machine made by IGT.

The payout was ridiculous really although I wasn't thinking that at the time.... The Machine paid out £500 - in Coins, then stopped, I then had to get the manager who counted the money with a weighing machine, then opened the machine and put the same £500 back in, he then pressed a button and it paid out the next £500, count refill... All of this 4 times in total. Took about an hour to pay out and refill, and to top it all, I discovered after that I had burnt my knuckles on the machines pay out tray whilst scooping up the nuggets. (Poor bas*** I hear you say!)

I was told that the current crazy situation is something to do with the current law stating that the machine must physically pay out the money it awards. Not sure what the new law is on payouts, but I understand that up to a million will be allowed, could be there a week or so if you ever hit that!

With reference to the bit I've put in bold, FOBT machines [Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, i.e Roulette machines] pay out via some kind of ticket - I've never played one before but have seen someone play one last time I was in the bookies.

It would either have to pay out as a ticket because -

a) high payout potential, or
B) payout of coins other than £1.

I dare say that on a £1000000 jackpot machine, when the JP was won it would immediately alert a cashier, and the win would need to be verified, and sent from a head office to you by a bank transfer or cheque, OR it would print out say a barcoded ticket which you may need to give to a cashier to be verified using some kind of terminal?

I haven't a clue to be honest, but they seem like logical ideas to me :)

£2000 jackpot machine!!! much better to pay out in notes,or as said pay out in a ticket so that you could take it up to the manager and have it in £20 or £50 notes,it would be impossible to collect £2000 in coins!!!

Well, if you wanted to see some £1000 JP machines, look no further than the £1000 JP Thunderbirds 'Casino' which is emulated - when it was ready I got £1350ish out within £10 :D:D

I guess it's an auto payout to stop them from having to refill, also if someone were to bankbuild to about £1000 from say £1000 over the back, and then the machine gave the JP followed by afterplay, that would be £2000+ collected, and would no doubt give an IOU?

You can change the bank limit on most machines, inc £25JP, from say No Bank (Auto payout of all wins), to about £75 Bank Limit.

i went to the casino on saturday and sat down at a slot and won 139 quid for just a 20 quid note i put in.
but...

the guy next to me won £1202 on the same style of machine with a £2000 jackpot.
the machine just comes up with a message to call an attendent and he will pay out the win in notes from the cashier so no coinage or notes are removed from the machine.
