Really? You'll have to join a club. I'm a member of all the local clubs, great for not allowing dickheads in, cheap beers and food, and they also open late (at least mine do!).
If you get the chance, definitely get a CIU card, mine cost £3 (I think!) and it means I can go into any other CIU affiliated club, pays for itself if you are on holiday in the UK, or staying somewhere different
I'll be honest though - club machines aren't for everyone. Sometimes they are pretty amazing, I personally stuck to lower stakes and prizes - my local club was a 10p/20p switchable Club Clouseau and I used to do quite well from it. I'll be honest and say they aren't as 'fast' to play as a pub machine, but as long as you know what you are doing, and are sensible, you can do OK from them.
When I used to do well, I was super disciplined on them (you have to be), keeping track of how full it is, how many days it is since last large payout, other plays habits e.t.c.
[edit] - Not wanting to derail Tommy's WIP thread - but seriously, if you go out and drink anyway, you can do worse than checking your local Member's Only clusb out

I feel more sick now than I already do!!!
Maybe clubs have changed since my last visit!
My parents raised me and my sister in WMC land. And to say i'm put off for life is an understatement.
It certainly didn't keep out dickheads either-cheap beer just saw more morons blathered.!!
Hopefully I will never have to enter one again.
Yet this is my own experience of them.So not intended to put people off or dish anyones post.
And my only highlight was watching the club slots. Some light in what was a v.dark smoke filled hell whole
