Hi i have just purchased this machine and wish to change the play stake from 30p per go to a lower setting ,Can any one advize me how to do this.

You will need to obtain a prize/stake key, but if you are looking to change the play stake, then changing it to a lower stake will also mean you will need to obtain the machine decals to correspond to the prizes that stake give out. What stake are you looking to change the machine too? Is this a pub machine 3 reeler or a club machine 4 reeler?

You will need to check that the key you obtain is the exact one for the machine, as sometimes they keys you buy of places such as eBay, don't quite match up to the fitting inside the machine. The key looks like a plug that you would plug into a monitor or a PC motherboard.

It's a clubber, I've played it quite a lot on my travels

I don't think you need a stakes / prizes key for these, I believe the jackpots are changed by the switches on the mainboard. It may well be possible to load the existing layout of this and fiddle with the switches on that to see which switches will give you which stake / jackpot combinations, but failing that, I'd wait for someone with a bit more knowledge in this area

Have to confess, I prefer the older Cops N Robbers machines with the full Dot Matrix LED arrangement, but I'm pretty sure that Gold played better than (for example) Platinum

Here's a manual for cops and robbers platinum, I assume that this is similar to the gold version because the lamp layout is marked as C&R Gold.

It's exactly the same, just a more modern re-release, but in my opinion it plays horribly - didn't last long at all in our club because nobody was playing it
