hi, ive not been here for a while, but ive got all the roms/soundfiles/layouts etc for JPemu and MFME and when i try to load most games all i get is errors.

Here are my file and folder structures, perhaps they are in the wrong places??

for JPemu:

Fruit Machines/JPemu--->Layouts and Roms folder in JPemu folder

for MFME:

Fruit Machines/MFME---->Layouts and Roms folders in MFME folder

and same for BFemu

only thing im unsure of is where to put the MPU5 hexfiles???

and when i run JPemu, i always get the same two errors with every machine, invalid sound rom name and invalid rom name!

the layouts are in folders called layouts and are zipped, as are the roms, should they all be unzipped?

All layouts should be unzipped into their own folders along with the correct roms. BFMulator is the only exception as its can run layouts which are still zipped.

You need to have all the files (for the machine you want to play) unzipped. Then you have to take all those files (only the ones for the machine you want to play) and make sure they are all in the same Windows folder. A separate folder for each machine.

So if you want to play Maygay's On the Buses, you need to have the layout and the ROMs all in the same folder.

If you are getting "Sound not found" and "ROM not found" it's because you have not done the above properly.

Help us to help you. You say you have not been on here for a while, so perhaps you are trying to play layouts in the wrong emulator. Some layouts need to be played in the correct version of MFME, so give us the name of the machine you are trying to play and what OS are you using.
