i have just download this and the new version of Amber, but if you see the screen shot i cannot get past this stage, what am i doing wrong?

The new version needs to overwrite the version you already have installed.

all sorted now to others just overwrite the project amber v14 with v19 from dads and follow advice from messages above
one thing i have noticed the £1 counter doesn,t count i.e put a pound in and the tokens go up any reason for this does it actually effect gameplay no probs with £££,s in i tick the cash in, meter1 box... i,ll go away now lol

It says in the release thread you need the latest version of the emulator which is currently V.10119

I still can't run AMBER on my ancient PC but a massive thank-you (and to Guitar) for getting an all-time-fave of mine done.

Have you got a Desktop or a Laptop I forget?

If its a desktop pick up a cheap gfx card and it'll run.

Im getting blocks of light blue where the alpha display shows.
Ive uploaded and replaced old version with 19.
But all slots have either the whole alpha display with a coloured block or part blocks!

Any help appreciated

This post will help you:

go to options then select current tech were the sound select is make sure that serial ver is ticked it should work then. Edit make sure you save and reload the layout.

Been said a million times I know, but a simple cheers really makes it worthwhile.

I can't even run AMBER but I saw the screenie and appriciate what's gone into this (and others too!) so still took the time to reply.

Come-on members, to date (7:30 10/10/12) there are 144 downloads and a dozen thank-you's.

These emulations don't take 10 minutes to create believe me, and you get a good few hours entertainment for nowt...

Please consider giving something back........the simple post in the release thread you got the Emu from.

good point ady i still think on new layout releases a thankyou should be made if you download it before you can download another new release doesn,t take long about 30seconds max or on every 5 new releases downloaded you,ve gotta post a reply on at least 2 for instance

Which old version did you have? It sounds like the component pack is either an old version or corrupt.

Try downloading the v10114 installer from Downloads section, then patching v10119 over the top. Make sure to save the layouts folder first as it may clear the folder as part of the install, I genuinely cant remember.

I have quite a few versions installed and I think that may be the problem.
Almost as if they are impacting on one another!

I am going to delete everything I have on my computer,then I will do the above.

Prior to me moving house,everything via v10114 worked aok,bar the speed of the slots.

Will post here when ive dowloaded again,and let you and Tommy know of the outcome.

All working and sorted now by getting rid of all downloads and installing v10114 and then overwriting with v10119.

Finally got Amber going on my new "Super Duper" 8GB Ram Memory Laptop. Thanks TommyC a fantastic layout one of the best ever mate!
