Get yourself onto Noddle :
https://www.noddle.co.uk/It's the only FREE credit report, but having been the victim of credit fraud / ID theft myself, I can assure you it's as accurate as the other big names.
I warn you though - I've given up trying to get some of the frauds removed from my file. It is such a pain in the f**king arse, I've been waiting 67 days for a reply from one of the debt collection agencies, acting on behalf of Littlewoods (who I never used, but apparently ordered £300 of ladies clothes from, using my name but with the title Ms). They claim to have contacted Littlewoods and say they are waiting for a reply - 67 days?
First they had my address wrong - they had it as a town 10 miles down the road. So I contacted Experian, Equifax, and CallCredit. They all said they would contact Littlewoods (Shop Direct Group), advise them of the fraud, and get it removed from my files.
What actually happened? They changed the debt to MY address. Thanks a F**KING BUNCH.
So I then wrote them all letters again, telling them thanks for that, but the issue they all skipped over was the fact I'd never shopped with Littlewoods, never lived in (or even heard of) the other address, and that it was clearly fraudulent.
They've said it's up to me to provide evidence that I didn't live in Stamford on the date shown. That means I need a bill from a certain date in January 2007 with my home address on. Sounds easy - but I was living with the parents at the time, and had f**k all bills. In their eyes then - I couldn't prove I didn't live 10 miles down the road, so I must be guilty.
You are completely stuck, you are basically treated as guilty, and they won't remove it. I'm just resigned to the fact that I can't get credit from anyone now (not a joke - nobody will touch me despite my previously perfect record), not even a store card.
