Hi all,
I have a Club Viva Mexico which I am told is a scorp 4 board, my problem with it is it just pays out far too much, I mainly use it as a piggy bank and it can get to the point when I just refill it rather than playing it cos it just wins and wins so its kinda boring. I Know there are dip switches on the mainboard, I can see them and they say they are the payout % BUT with no manual and no way of finding one (so far) I have no idea what the config of said dippers should be for whatever %. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I darent let friends play on it as they would bankrupt me! :-)

I managed to download the Scorp4 Manual, just looking through it now to see if i can find the right page which expains how to change the %payout
I can only find the Scorpian 4 tech manual, i couldnt see anything in that about changing the % payout, and im not sure myself, hopefully someone else on the forum might have an insight

%age changes are normally done via a switchable key.
In the smiley cabs, it's located in the top left of the machine with the stake / prize key, to which the settings should be the same as in this link (The stake / prize will NOT be, so ignore that):
.
Suggest setting it to 86% for best overall gameplay.

If you don't have a switchable key, then follow the link in the pic, where you can get one for £6 delivered.

HI there and thank you for the pic, I dont THINK I have a switchable key. I only have the refil key, is the key you refer to one that fits the same keyhole as thi refil key? I have switches/jumpers on the mainboard labelled %payout so I am gonna try dipping them accordin to this diagram and see where it gets me. Thank you so much!!If you don't have a switchable key, then follow the link in the pic, where you can get one for £6 delivered.

Here's a pic of the % dip settings for a scorpion 4 club machine that uses dips 14 15 and 16 to set the %.

Well I looked at the dils based on the pic of switches 13-16 and it was set to 98%!! No wonder!! I have reset it to 70% and have just played out a tenner in five minutes, still plenty of gameplay with features, viva mexico etc just doesnt let me win more than a couple of quid which is just how I want it, Thanks guys!! :-)club machines DONT have switchable % keys

You might find 70% a bit tight, quite a few clubs seem to use 72% > 78% (with 72% being the most common I see around here), and when my new clubber comes next week, I'll probably set it to 84% - totally up to you though
