Hi All
I have recently got a Barcrest "Top Gear" machine for home use, which I have managed to change it back to £25/30p play,(from £5/10p) and set at 78%. There was issues with no keys and a broken power supply, which I have managed to sort out. However to get it running the way I want, I would like to get a compatible note acceptor, refill key and if possible, change the payout to £70/30p.
As far as i can tell, it did have a note acceptor fitted originally. It has a 16 pin black plug at the note acceptor slot, and the note box underneath but I have also notice a white loom plug which reaches down into the bottom of the cabinet, which I have no idea what it's for.
I have attached 2 pictures.
Does anyone have the parts I am looking for at a reasonable price, or be able to point me in the direction of a compatible part on ebay? I can pay a fair price.
Parts Required:
Compatable Note Acceptor which accepts the latest notes
Refill Key
Jackpot / Stake key for £70/30p
Cheers!

Hi...
Firstly, you need (or best with) an NV4 note accepter as they fit best and were more common...
Refil keys are EASY to get hold of on Ebay
AND
You CAN'T get £70 for this machine. The machine only went to £25 Jackpot as a max due to the year of the machine
Hope this helps

The white connector thats dangling is the loom for the note acceptor. and as Taylor said you can get refill keys off ebay.

Cheers Guys.
I'm going to get a hold f a JCM note changer, apparently that's the model that was fitted on these, but I may need some sort of metal framework to go with it. I'll get the refill key off ebay, as I need to turn the volume down anyway, and I think I need the refill key to do that and I've got a hold of some camlocks.
There was a 78% key in the MPU board, and I removed it, so what would it default to?
Also: I got a "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" machine at the same time, there is a few parts missing from it, but could be good for someone for spares. If there is anyone near Glasgow or Ayrshire, they are welcome to pickup, first come first served, free of charge...
As far as I can tell there is at least one PCB missing from the top half of the machine, no coin mechanism, and undoubtedly other things missing too.

I'm sure they set to 78% without the key, though this can vary. some are 82% or even 88%.
I would have had the GGG machine, but im too far sorry

Hi Mate, does it need the faceplate to operate and how much do you need for it?
Cheers

Hi, all it will need is a metal face plate/surround to fit your cabinet be it a horizon or genesis, the note acceptor works just fine and it owes me a score (£20) you will get the JCM EBA22 note acceptor, loom and metal fascia included...

OK, stupid question, does it have updated software on it to take the latest notes (Inc scottish notes) and if not, how do i get it programmed?
Where would I get one of these faceplates? It wont work without it?
