Windows 7 Sound

i asked on the forum about sound distortion when i run older machines has anyone fixed this yet or have any advice?

It is to do with the different techs sounds in the emulator... more specifically synth sounds. Because Windows Vista, 7 and 8 use digital sound systems compared to Windows XP and below. The emulators that are released do not support the new sounds used by the newer Windows, so the sounds are more distorted coming from certain techs and games on all the emulators.

I think Guitar is working on this though for the updated Amber release soon on some of the techs. :)

I feel your pain ... it sucks not being able to play all the old classics in true ambient quality.

I keep hoping the next driver update of the AC97 sound will fix the distorted sound , but i dont think it ever will.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)
