Depends on your OS, but sometimes Wave settings on your sound card (XP) will dip when running some tech's (Scorp4 via v10.1a does this a lot).

On win7 this generally happens on MFME itself (Via the volume mixer option).

Way to tackle this is start your emulation up as normal, then  go in to your sound card via the speaker in the bottom-right task bar near your system clock, and open it up, then make sure all sound options are jacked up as high as they will go.

Usually happens after loading Scorpion 4 machines .. as Stan said its usually a matter of right clicking speaker icon and going to 'open volume mixer' and pushing the MFME slider back up.

Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

Have you made any changes to your PC set up since it last worked ok. Installed a card, upgraded your OS, downloaded software from the web?

If this is a recent problem then do a system restore to a date prior to the sound problem arising. If that makes no difference restore back to the present.

Have you also defragmented your hard drive, or compressed files to save space? If so, some of the files in your FME folder might have turned 'blue' - if you right-click them --> Go to Properties --> click Advanced and uncheck the Compress to save space box, this should clear them and make FME, and particularly MFME read them again. I know, because I had this problem, especially on Windows XP. :)

Hi,

I had the same problem a few months ago but nothing to do with the emulator. I had an issue with the speaker settings on my PC, maybe worth a try....
