do you really think he `deserved` to die?
he could have been 500 short of a massive operation to save his childs life? the chances are no and he only wanted to fund some other addiction.
just deserts maybe, but deserved?

I didn't say he 'deserved' to die nails mate - just that it served him right for doing something so stupid... I mean, how did the people in the betting shop know that his gun wasn't real? They were, quite rightly, thinking they were staring death at the end of a barrel with the gun he was holding.
His family have admitted that he was a criminal, but had recently come off drugs, so his past doesn't hold credit with the argument of a child's life etc mate - more like for addiction due to a relapse perhaps?
Anyway, either way, he didn't 'deserve' to die as you say I put it (but didn't) - merely it served him right for doing something so stupid and dangerous in the first place.
