File Name: Hula Moolah Wdx Empire Games

File Submitter: TommyC

File Submitted: 02 Feb 2013

File Category: MPU 5

Heres my updated version of hoola moolah by empire. This is a 1280 wdx so will need a screen res of 1280x1024.Massive thanks to ady for sending me a copy of the glass scans and also to dad for sending me a copy of the decals,Thanks to all contributors.I'll have to sort the £5 and £8 versions at a later date as i have run out of free time now for layouts. This is why i'm uploading this so late as i won't have time tomorrow. The red and blue flowers play up from time to time,as in not showing the correct colors on the feature,it only does it every now and then so not a big issue. Also thanks to kriss for the lamp numbers from his dx,which saved me an hour or so going through test. All shortcuts are as normal.

I've just downloaded this as it looked super. I've not played it before, but it looks to have a lot going on. Will give it a bash tomorrow after I've dug out my large screen monitor.

I think it's safe to say in advance... Excellent work Tommy

Cheers

Thanks, nice layout. This machine is typical of Empire - loads going on but horribly evil coding really limits the playability.

Thanks, nice layout. This machine is typical of Empire - loads going on but horribly evil coding really limits the playability.

It's a bit dodgy. I put at least £75 in for a single jackpot, no sign of a repeat, or anything in the way of afterplay. I presume at some point it'll go off it's rocker and do a large streak but don't know for sure. As for evil coding, I had extra life (so assumed I was pretty safe) - then landed on two question marks at the same time!

I took a shot at the top, machine whistled and the alpha flashed 'USE COLLECT' (I thought it might give skill select or something?), I pressed collect - took the Super Hold, flashed up that there wasn't a win available, and kicked me out the feature and back to the base reels.

As for the layout - nice work as always, seems fine to me :)

Excellent as always Tommy mate... I will give this a thrashing when I go on Windows next.

I love Empire games... yes they have evil play, but their sounds, their features and feel make them much more entertaining to play than say Barcrest for example

Tommy - you've done this layout proud mate! :)

Are you mad?!! I'd rather play 90% of Barcrest's machines than an Empire any day of the bloody week. I didn't feel that the sounds and features of Empire machines came anywhere near close to making up for their gameplay. At the right time they could be a good laugh, and perhaps on £5 jackpot not too bad, but given the choice between pretty much *anything* and an Empire machine, I'd go for the other option.

Thanks TC.  Another excellent layout, but these modern games rarely float my boat and this is a case in point.  There is just so much going on I get on the feature board and just keep going until I lose or hit the jackpot.  Eventually I got it and have to say I would have loved to play this in an arcade back in the day and get the jackpot out.  Everyone looking at you as it does its Hawaii 50 thing; excellent.

Some good points about these empires here.I for one think empire should just stick to doing £5 jackpot machines as they are very good on that ratio. It always seems as soon as you up the jackpot to £25 it's god awfull.Only one that seems ok on £25 jp is extreme this can repeat the jackpot and give you skill repeat.I will sort the decals out for £5 if i have a spre half hour and release it on £5 jp aswell as it deffo plays better.
