Ok sign me up also. Do I just browse the download area section searching for missing thumbnail artwork previews & download the file open it in the emulator and create a screenshort of the layout and attach it to the original download page so people can see which file layout it is ?
I think the Snapshot website was also used by layout creators to see which layouts had already been dx'ed & which layouts needed improvements also easy to check the different variations like screen size resolution 1024, 1280, 1600 plus if a layout had side artwork or just a regular dx etc. I used it mainly to select the preferred layout of a machine and to pick out nice looking layouts it's really convenient for new member's & would have saved me a lot of time if I knew it existed before I browsed every single layout in fruit emu and the rest of FME websites like 3 or 4 times over the years. but it still came in handy as I missed out loads of good looking layouts due to some missing artwork and some not in the download area..
I think the download section could do with a complete overhaul to incorporate a more user friendly and a more efficient way of browsing and downloading layouts. Something similar to snapshots and 'layouts by dad' but with embedded download links in the artwork so it's a two step process. Browse & Click to download.. Leechers heaven at least you'll be making good use of all that additional bandwidth and prob will fit in more with people who browse the forums using laptops and tablets it just need an area for the file information, release notes & credits

Second link looks much more cleaner lol it not like totally ripping off the style of Dads but just using it for inspiration it would work better and I suspect Dadsfme & Dxcellent are restricted by such stuff like space and bandwidth allowances that prevent them from doing that

Done up to page 11 on the mpu 3/4 dx layouts, having a break now if one of the others would like to continue on page 12
there's along another 33 to go
I haven't even started yet, sorry. But glad my idea is bearing fruit, even if not from my own toils.
I am super busy at the mo, but will sit down and do some when time permits.
Thanks TC and Andy for your work so far.

Christ you blokes are getting on with it, aren't you
I've been very busy with family things today, as well as taking my car back to the garage, so haven't really had much chance to do anything, but if I'm still needed I'll gladly chip in. If not, I'm just glad things are being achieved

Thanks andy and to everyone involved in making the download sections easier to navigate around and to actually see what you're downloading is a great help especially to new members with a limited download limit. It looks great so far. When the download sections are completed can the gallery/flyers be updated so they say what's on them as in machine name as some only say 'scan then a load of numbers' cheers.

We could look into that when it has all been completed... remember to remind us when it is all finished.

That link doesn't work anymore. I guess it's up to Mort/Geddy to ask for the site to be transferred really.
I'll do some digging on that and get back to you when I find out more.
There is also the gallery section @ the Mecca that has a number of images too.
