To be honest, I think these will drop in price with Barcrest (now part of Scientific Games : http://www.scigames.com/) pulling out of the reel-based gaming market.

I'd have been tempted at that price - BUT I've not got the faith in MPU6 that I have in MPU5. There's still a good amount of MPU5 spares out there for very little money, and swapping program cards e.t.c. is easy - but from what I've read (I have no practical experience of MPU6) it's expensive to replace, mainboards need 'programming' for use with particular ROMs... just sounds like it could be hassle down the line to me!

That's what surprised me with some of the people above saying machines this cheap are always 'collection only' - normally if you contact the seller first and mention a reputable courier, known throughout the industry, they are more than happy to deal with you, obviously as long as you arrange the courier and pay for that separately (so you pay for the machine upfront).

Whether it's a bargain or not - depends. Personally they don't interest me!

Sweet M-cook, you cerainly did get a bargain, just out of curiosity what courier did you go with and where did you have them delivered to? -  Reason i ask is i'm searching around for a good courier at fair price are a few machines that interest me about 50 miles away from me.

He got a bargain on the Alien machine I guess, but not sure I'd call £175 for a Terminator (Red Gaming) a bargain! :)

I think any £70 jp machine for under £200 is a pretty good deal, have you seen bencrest that guy is now selling this:

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2ec6b9bb86

Im still looking to buy a machine, this machine looks like fun and has all the decals up to £250, its also a Barcrest which is my favourite make of machine. Problem is ive never played it and cant find any vids on youtube to try and work out if it gives good gameplay (which is what im after)...hmm wonder if anyone on here has come accross it ..

Played it in a club in littleport about 2/3 years ago, very slow at progressing I had a 20 in it after a bloke pumped it n got offered not alot, someone then went on it and was on it for ages. Sounds where ok. If you want a piggy bank id get this, if you want gameplay get alien (I also have an alien along with 6 other machines)

I used to have that in my local club, pretty awful game. It's a Barcrest brand but as far as I'm aware it's actually coded by Extreme (or it feels more like an Extreme than a Barcrest). Could be wrong though!

I think it was on 10/20p dual stake in the club, pretty sure we played on 10p. From what I remember the Super Start was absolutely worthless, most boards on 10p play were limited to £2. Then it would randomly throw in boards where the 'supermeter' would go crazy, rather than adding 20p / 60p or so at a time, it would suddenly start jumping £5 / £10 at a time.

I guess the theme was nice, sound effects and music were good, graphically it's not bad. It might actually be OK for home use due to the reasonable board frequency, it was just disappointing to play in a club, although it wasn't in for long as it got taken out when nobody won a JP and people got bored of it.

Thanks for the replies, i have ocntacted the seller to see if he will be selling any more of his machines in the near future and he said he lists a few on ebay every month or two, he said he will send me a list of machines likely to go on ebay in the coming months which is ideal. Just trying now to find a decent courier, cheapest so far ive found is £90 + Vat which i thinks a little high, Devon to My house is only an hours drive.

When I last used Speedlink, they were £75 paid cash on delivery, that typically covered machines going around the country but don't think it would have included Scotland. £90 + VAT is ridiculous!

You'd be better off hiring yourself a van and putting several machines in if you are getting quotes like that.

Speedlink have recently been taken over by Hadfields, try getting a quote from them? http://www.hadfieldstransport.com/

i think i might consider hiring a van, the quote from Speedlink is as follows:

Delivery Charge: £86.29 Fuel Surcharge: £0.86 (calculated at 1.0% for this month) Sub Total: £87.16 VAT: £17.43 (20.00%) Total:

£104.59

Ive tried 3/4 now and generally the charge for courier is around the £100 mark.

Anyone with a Van fancy a roadie to Devon!!?? lol

I can only assume you used the wrong Speedlink, because Speedlink Transport no longer exist (they have been bought by Hadfields), and Speedlink never used to quite me prices like that - it was always a round figure paid cash on delivery - anywhere from £60 > £75 for a single machine delivery.

As said above, give Hadfields a shot, I posted the link above but for reference it is : http://www.hadfieldstransport.com/
