Hang fire, I have seen this error before, and you would be forgiven thinking it's the stake / prize or %age key.

However I have learned from previous experience it could be a fault with the Impact PSU (I've encountered this problem 3 times so far, and all faults fixed when I used a known working PSU), so you will be wanting to have a look at this.

But first thing is first..... you need to check your stake / Prize and Percentage keys to make sure they are firmaly inserted in to the mainboard, and if they are the switchable type, to make sure they are set right.

Second.... if the fault does not clear, If you have a spare Impact PSU or can borrow one from another Impact based machine, I would suggest you do this and see if the fault remains..... if it don't, then you will know that the PSU will need repairing / replacement.

For help with this, there are many guys over at MPU Mecca who can help, and poss able to source parts from.

Also you may find the following three documents useful for general Impact hardware guidance..... although they are for different machines from yours, they still contain general information on the JPM Impact V1 and v3 hardware that is relevant to your machine, as well as info on Mech's etc.....

The Big Bucks doc is the best one to refer to for drawings, having scanned this one myself from my own collection.

Bacta6 std codes 91 00 any thing from 90 to 9f is software. Processor card or Impact then. Its not the psu i can tell you that 1million %. Impact would display error 56-xx.

On your processor card Partno. 045251 looking at it with the edge connector to your left D2 which is more or less top right there is that D2 which is a diode ZN404 tell me what way it faces. This is for only Combined processor and memory card

Also on Impact can you tell me if poss IC U13 which is next to the Data/Serial port if pin 7 has been cut or the leg has been removed also the reset led had been removed or is fitted.

Also try and do a complete ram clear turn off machine connect your speaker back on as you will need it. Hold the test button normaly red unless your left with a yellow rubber pad whiles holding it turn the machine on.Impact will try and reset but still keep holdings you will hear a number of pops comes from the speak. Ok impact will boot on its own or after 30 secon`s take your finger off the button. Impact will try and boot you may get error 53-xx. Thats more then normal as your forcing the ram to reset and its profile.

Another thing to try is take your wire off the speaker again power it up and just let Impact timeout. Its will just stay there with the error or will boot up as normal.

error 48-xx is Tamper Alarm BTW

The other thing what i can also remember your machine is an electra so it will use bacta 6 code not vogue codes 9.0/9.1processor card/program is vogue as for electra bacta6 its 90-9F

Same as error 147/9.xx is vogue electra bacta6 is code is not in the software library. This is just some thing to bear in mind
