Can i just say happy new year to all at fruit-emu!!!!!!!
i Just logged on to have a look at whats new for 2005 and saw that there's a new version of the mfme coming out - could i please ask does this mean they'll be more (NEW) machines to emulate or is this just a better program than the one we have already?
Also sorry to be a pain but if this is a new program completly what fruity's could we look forward to playing?
p.s. just like to say thanks again for helping me re-kindle my old gambling day's back when i was a teenager gambling 24/7.

Will MFME2 let us have access to Party Time Arena? (I'm only joking after a few smirnoffs - honestly!! ). I agree with your point ady - what new machines will MFME2 make available?

what new machines will MFME2 make available?
I am sure I just answered that point a few posts up.
However why not go to www.mfme.co.uk and find out? If you are not satisfied with the knowledge you find maybe ask there as since it is the official forums for the new emu then that would be the best place to ask do you not think?

Sorry - point taken. I should have checked previous posts and the mfme site - I'm still learning!!

And I'm sorry for this comment as a moderator...
But I was going to reply to iains post on the 2 emulators, but I was sidelined by trouty's posting, as its damn more worthy reading and replying to Trouty than a stupid idiot namely iain who's hell bent on asking every pathetic question he can!
iain..............please give the new members a chance to get 'their-head' around emulation without you making things hard, and quote Trouty iain NEVER reads threads.....thats so obvious.
If you are sorry about that comment,WHY did u post it?
...and why do you use a link to another web site when this site should have all the info about MFME2 anyway????

I was sorry that I had to call a member an idiot...Namely you iain!!!...Secondly the link has NOTHING to do with the post, it's in my sig if you didn't know...again showing your stupidity
Now then iain, do you want to create a layout?...If so I am more than willing to help you from start to finish (and it'll use up some of your time keeping you off the forums )....PM me a reply one way or the other, no need to add a log to say yes or no.

Whats this 'What new machines will MFME2 bring us?' question that keeps popping up?
Unless the emulator coders have gone back on their morals and put a current tech into MFME2, theres absolutely no new machines that can be emulated. There will be plenty of OLD machines that will become emulatable but definitely no new ones.
Hopefully, plenty of JPM, BWB, ACE and PCP machines that were out and about at the same time as MPU3 and early MPU4 that as of yet, cannot be emulated. A nice step backwards in to fruit machine history will be given to us on the release of MFME2. Machines from the 1980's and maybe a few from the early 1990's. Thats the brunt of what will be available. Resources permitting of course. But for the full lowdown, visit the MFME website.

I know it 'probably' wont interest you Iain, unless you are planning to design a fruity, but the 'dead-world' link is a very good one, this site in itself as the homepages says is to keep the older machines alive.
However, the dead-world site is among many other things a great information site on how to design your own fruit machines, Hurtand who created the site has taken the time and effort to write a step by step guide on how to design a layout from scratch, which is VERY good.
I think you should have a look, then like Ady said, have a go yaself.
it is VERY time consuming, but when the new MFME2 is finally released, I'm sure there'll be many people up all night working damn hardf to keep others happy, with no payment, just personal satisfaction.
kinda like when you finish a 30000000 piece jig-saw

Hello everyone.
I would just like to say that I fully agree with Compost's earlier post. I am not in the least bit interested in machines that are around today. If MPU5 ever gets emulated , I for one could not care less, because MPU5 games are devoid of the gameplay and charm synonymous with 80's machines.
I went to my cousins over Xmas and they have a fully working Cash Smash by PCP, (same as Test Pilot) in their hall. I spent 2 hours playing it and the memories came flooding back.
MFME2 excites me because there is the chance of one day being able to play these kind of games once more. PCP and BWB were the masters of 2p machines in the late 80's. Games like Masterspy, Lucky Lady, Take2, and Blue Streak and all the variations were a joy to play. I only just realised that Tuppenny Cracker was available on Fruit-Emu. That was quite simply a marvellous game (and a great DX guys), and many hours of enjoyment will be had over the next few months playing it once more.
For me FME is about nostalgia and preserving history. With all due respect, a couple of posters on here should be thinking along those lines more, rather than shouting for MPU5 £6 for a board dross like Pie Factory.
Cheers!

I can't wait!!!
If this new tech can emulate earlier JPM machines like Big Banker and Supatrack....and possibly some early ACE boys, then I'm happy. You can stick your new machines up your arse.

As long as the resources for Fortune Trail appear, I for one do not care if MPU5 emulation ever exists.
Give me a good playable mid 80's fruit machine over any of the crap that appears new these days.
Firecracker as well, that was good, when you could nudge the bells on reel one and reel two and the random nudges kicked in, hope thats supported on the new emu.
Party Time?? Whats That???? Never heard of it!!

Party Time is one of those 'take out brain, push wallet into slot, always be 1 nudge away from a JP, person after gets a £100 streak from a set of top reels' type machines
I'm sure you were being sarcastic, but if not, I think the above sums it up

LOL I don't think I've heard PTA summed up ANY BETTER than that.
I think the only machine worse is the Monopoly one for getting on the top reels.

Not sure if you are talking about 3 player Monopoly by Mazooma, but shortly after they were released I put LOADS into a £5 JP / 10p play version, and it refused to give a top feature. Gave several pound wins, which held, and a JP rolled in by itself, but played every bit as badly as Party Time

I think so mate, it's the one where there are two types of win.
well 3....
£1 Jackpot and feature (£1 with a special symbol I think???)
then the top reels spin usually for chance or something.
sounds like it tho, as you never made it to the top lol

Yeah, £1 win was a £1 note, the top feature was £1 notes with Hats on or something

EPOCH is the technology used on late Maygay and Global machines, and all Impulse and Extreme Gaming machines.
It will not be emulatable under MFME2 though, as the following list of supported techs shows, complete with rough guide to show what they were used for :
MPU3 << Old Barcrest/BWB machines [already in MFME]
MPU4 << Less Old Barcrest/BWB/Empire/MDM/Crystal machines [already in MFME]
MPU4VIDEO << ! NEW ! Barcrest/BWB Video machines, currently only 'The Crystal Maze SWP' works I think.
SYS80 << ! NEW ! Old Bell Fruit [BFM] machines, before Scorpion.
SYS5 << ! NEW ! Old JPM machines [Popeye, Hagar, Fairground!!]
MPS2 << ! NEW ! Old JPM machines
IMPACT << Recent JPM machines [1995>2004], [basically JPeMu]
SCORPION 1 << Old Bell Fruit [BFM] machines, included Global club machines.
SCORPION 2 << Less old than Scorpion 2 Bell Fruit machines!
SYS1 << ....can't remember
M1A/B << Old Maygay machines [already in MFME]
Thats a rough guide, off the top of my head. I took the list from another thread on here, but made up the descriptions.

Have you heard of a machine called "Thrills and Spills" its about the same era as popeye... its 2p a go... and has a fairground theme.
So if you say global club machines... what machines are these can you name a few... i take it like not recent but say 4 years old global club machines. plz. eg... not the Godfather obviously but maybe an older one but like that one... newish.
Also i take it the crystal maze SWP... if that is emulatable are other video swps gonna b availaible.
Cheers .
N. .O. .

SYS80 << ! NEW ! Old Bell Fruit [BFM] machines, before Scorpion.
SYS80 is JPM before MPS2 (e.g. Route 66, Superbank, Winsprint etc.)
SYS1 << ....can't remember
SYS1 is Ace (Pre Sp.Ace Tech) (e.g. Take It or Leave It, Poundstretcher, Pound a Round etc.)
