A big thanks to all the people who keep on submitting newer versions (aka PDX,WDX) of fruities,but it seems to be the same machines that we are seeing all the time......(apart from the Noels House Party emu which is great!)
Are there going to be any more new machines (that we havent seen before) being put on here in future or can no more be emulated??????
...also (I know people are busy) but hardly any of the link related sites seem to be updated any more,the forums are the only things that are being updated......
Im not having a moan!!!

depending on how much spare time I get over the next week I should be uploading a DX to keep you happy Iain.
it HAS been done before, but I think you'll find this one enjoyable, as it's not one of the ones that has been emulated to 4 different resolutions in 3 different cases with 4 different win values.
you get what I mean.
However, not saying that thats a bad idea, after all until I brought my new monitor (21" CRT from Ebay £28!!!!) I now has 1600 x 1200.
but until then I only had 1024 x 768 so I was greatful of these WDX etcs.
WATCH THIS SPACE... hopefully releasing before the end of the month.

Us designers can only work with what we are given with,
And if the ROMS and things wont run and there is art we still cant do much as the ROMs do not work.

All i have saw you do from day 1 is judge things and request things that you know cant be emulated because you have been told so many times it cant but yet you still ask. I could understand it if you had 5 odd posts but you havnt, Youve got over 100.
We can only Emulate what we are given and this depends on the resources becoming avalible

Well.... you've managed to annoy Fruity lol
However, I too agree with him, we can ONLY emulate what we're allowed to.
As for you quote, you 'may' notice 90% of fruit machines in arcades atm are Variations of a theme, they all play pretty much the same, they are all clones.
As for MAJORITY of them the same????
There are over 500 DIFFERENT machines on this site. how can you say that?
apart from the fact that as I previously said most machines are clones, what do you want us to do? Design a fruity?

Not really as DaemonX created a layout for an Xmas machine of his own.

as he rightly mentioned. I turned another machine into my own by creating a different layout. (so a clone really)
IF it were possible to alter what the machine actually said.... eg.
you could have a copy of The Great Escape, find your own sound roms for it, (or make your own).
Then when it collected features (some machines will name them) eg Lucky Sevens may come up LUCKY SEVENS in the window as well as flashing on the board.
if we could change things like that, then the options are endless....
until then... (which will probably be in the WAAAAAAAY future as if we could alter everything then everyone would be creating there own machines, (kinda like building ya own PC I guess? )

you can alter the sound roms and what it says on the alpha by using a hex editor, it is a tedious and very time consuming job though so it really never gets done.
i think only a ccf hdx of pooks and a terrence and philip hdx by pandy had it done.

...and there are people who build their own PC's from scratch,so the possibility of building your own EMU fruity and putting in your own sound and designing your own cabinet may not be so "WAAAAAYYYY" off!!!!
