Hi
I want to play Quintoon but I don't know how MAGE works.
What are the games you can play on it and where can you find the
roms for them?
Thanks a lot and enjoy your weekend!
Didi

Hi Didi, your best bet by far for info on MAGE is to pop over to Fruit Forums. Once you have registered you can post in the dedicated MAGE forum where you will get very informative replies. Be sure to remember the answers though, as when they are asked again hopefully you'll assist in answering the Q's on here.

If you have ever used MAME [Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator], MAGE will be second nature. Basically a command line interface, where the ROMs are known by a specific name, up to 8 characters.
For example, you'd expect Quintoon to be called Quintoon, but the name you need is
bfmqntn - standing for Bell Fruit Quintoon.
You need to open up a command prompt [I personally write Batch files for MAGE, and some Frontends might work, but command line interpreter works fine!]
In windows, this will be called 'MSDOS Prompt, Command Prompt' - something like that. If you can't find it, go to 'RUN' in the Start Menu, and then type in 'CMD', if in Win 2K or XP, or 'COMMAND' if on Windows 98 or below.
To launch a game [hopefully you know DOS navigation? 'CD..' to go 'up' a folder, 'CD xxxxx' to enter a folder?], you need to go to the MAGE folder, and type MAGE xxxxxxxx [where xxxxxxx is the name of the ROM].
Example.... go to C:MAGE and type in MAGE BFMQNTN to play Quintoon.
You'll need to make sure that the ROM files are in MAGES 'ROM' Folder, and I'd recommend you keep them in their ZIP file format.
To get games, and for other info, I'd go over to Fruit Forums for a read
