Surely this has to be a scam of some kind?

Unwanted present... but they have a Gambling Commission license number (or claim to), and the machine is at their Leyland warehouse - only operator I can find out there is Monarch Coin Equipment?
It does all seem a bit odd, I'd want more than a stock photo for £7500 and they've not even opened the box?! I would.
Then again, perhaps it's all genuine and above board.
[edit] The license number they provided is for Herondata (a reputable company based in Stockton on Tees). I smell BS from the seller - why would you normally only trade in £12 steps for Transit vans, they suddenly come across £9000 of brand new machine, and not even open the box?

If its nicked the guys taking a big risk selling it on eBay as Barcrest is going to have noticed one of these going missing, they're only a few months old at most!

someone report it to the gambling commission they will look into it , as above stock photos are a no no on ebay ,

its not nicked its genuine.
they cost in the region of £7999+vat. i'd hazard a guess and say its about £5k resell value as is. if somebody forks out the money good luck to them.
* its not worth £8k+vat, the industry knows how much money you 'can' make from them and they want a slice of the action.

It might be genuine, but Herondata know nothing about it and he has used their GC license number (presumably to get around the eBay rules).
Begs a few questions :
1) He claims it's a gift. Where from?
2) If he hasn't got a license (so is using someone elses number) then what's he doing with a machine of this age and value, literally 'brand new'?
Even if not nicked it's very suspicious and I don't think any genuine operators will be touching it.

why not? if i was after a specific machine and could get it X thousand pounds cheaper - i would. ive never EVER heard of anybody coming round and checking serial numbers of new machines, just old legacy ones.

we have never had serial numbers checked

has anybody looked at the category hes listed it under?
cant see him getting many takers

Worrying
Its Listed In The Wrong Item Category
Rare As Hell A "BRAND NEW" Machine Is Listed On Ebay
+ To Top It - Unwanted Xmas Pressie (Mad Present Buyers)
& Well Over Priced
Licence Is Not Related To Him/Seller Directly
.. I Wouldn't , Its A NO GO - For Me :/
If It Was Legit Get Serial No Checked
