i keep seeing alot of posts mentioning "public released emulators" and "privately released emulators", are any of the private ones ever gonna be made public??, and whats the point of mentioning an emulator that might not ever be made public?, are we supposed to get jealous or something or shed out a load of dosh just to get something that might not be freely available for at least another 5+ years?? ........just asking
What happened was mfme 9.4 was leaked & wizard who made mfme was not happy & has vowed never to release another emulator to the public again.
Wizard & chums will have a more up to date emulator for their own use, but it probably wont see the light of day as a public release.
There was also a fallout with mame for using some of their code without any acknowledgement.

wizard, etc arent the only ones out there who are mega clever, hasnt anyone else made a similar emulator or emulators?
Posted 05 May 2013 - 05:27 PM
See now this may sound extremely controversial... But if wizard doesn't want to release any further updates and basically has stepped away from 9.4 (supposedly) to pursue other stuff, them surely we could just tweak what we have already.. Surely there must be a way of adding in stuff to what we have.?!? I take it the original author (wizard) wouldn't care because he has pretty much turned his back on the fme "public" scene.. It would seem.

Sorry mate.. Been away whilst updating my website.. You seem like you know your stuff.. I was just Enquiring lol.. Im glad you straightened it up
Just hope that something/someone turns up to help progress because even if cctalk scorp4/mpu5 becomes obsolete we wont advance until someone can advance... But im well happy to see that killcrazy is on the epoch scene.. Ive been reading his threads with great anticipation.
