Star Leisure according to the thread title.

I've not bought anything from them, but Stu has always been very helpful when I've asked him questions on the phone.

Hi Bigballs,

I would like to think my prices reflect the quality of my goods and the service i provide to customers - I agree you can always find cheaper but that does not always mean better.

Im sorry you feel this way about my pricing but i must be doing something right as the few comments above show the equipment is always a good else we would rather not sell it.

Best wishes

Stu.

Hi,

Most of the items listed can be purchased from other trade companies and yes some are cheaper but we not 4x over priced - All my sales include the VAT.

My warranty last longer than companies like JNC and RMLS as they wont back up a PC unit after 30 days - Ask Nails about the 2 pc units i still covered under warranty for him and even hand delivered to him to keep his costs down.

Yes my prices are higher than others but your paying for a level of service - Not everyone will agree but i feel its the way i want my business to run - To many other companies get the reputation of selling cheap but selling rubbish.

No offence is taken - It is what it is.

Best wishes

Stu.

Yes and he is right to sell at those prices,I am private collector since 1997 but only buy from and know the trade inside out.You try and get the Astra bits and magic sevens infact low techs and arcade pieces as a whole, see sites like JNC they have nothing 3 low techs when I last looked. No new ones being made and arcades holding onto this stuff and if it does become available the prices go through the roof or its run into the ground and put on the bonfire.Good on you Stu if people want it they pay the price or see if they can get it elsewhere and they wont.Infact JNC wanted £325 plus vat for a Magic 7 he is trade isn't he Star Leisure is cheaper.Think BigBalls you need to go out into the "reel" world and see what these machines really sell at Ebay prices were part of what ruined this selling of second hand machines,I wouldn't sell anything for less than £90 and then it would be a pile of C**P.the parts alone are worth that

Is there a gun to your head should you decide to buy a machine?

I presume not, so why the outrage on a fellow forum member?

took the words out of my mouth stu, I think you have by far the best customer service by far.

if you look closely at the machines, the only high priced machines are those that are running on new tech like murphys millions etc, the rest are priced and staggered accordingly.

looking back over the years ive had machines from ebay with the following defects -

touch screen fell off from the monitor

1280x1024 display configured as 640x480 (thus couldn't see the bottom row of on screen buttons etc)

feature reel fell off

speakers NEVER connected

billy the quid supplied with the wrong roms

wrong decals displayed

wrong machines turned up

internal pc blew up

the list goes on

rainbow riches are holding their value more than the likes of cashino. for that I would guess £350+vat is somewhere around average, for a rainbow riches my best guess, and guess only would be 400-500+vat. for an exceptional base machine I would pay just that much more. as time goes on it could be a situation of prices hiking as they become more rare.

* reemeber your buying from a VAT business, and not a kiddie round the corner.

Starleisure won't remember me, but I have been a customer twice.

Not for a machine but for spares.

I remember one time I needed a MPU4 pcb and it couldn't be tested unless I waited, I wanted to get back home and I was actully given 2 of them (1 on trust to post back) to try at home....although I was told they would both work...cant comment on the sent back one as the 1st worked 100%...

My bill was compaired to ebay, and it was actually cheaper with the personal touch too!

Jnc.?? Who is this.. May need to add a contact or three lol.. Same as you star leisure.. If there is anything you don't want (don't have time to fix/ bad running etc).. I'm always after machines like that.. I got a backlog of machines that I need to get rid of first though lol..

I gotta say big balls.. It seems a little strange that you should start a whole thread slating another members business.. At the end of the day there quality speaks for itself.. As many members seem to have had good running a with him.. And also he obviously has all the licenses, so he doesn't have to sell dirt cheap like many people have to. :(

Hi Lee ( Bigballs )

You sent me a private message just in March asking for me to get you a 3 player and i replied stating i dont get them in much due to the space they waste for the amount they are sold for.

Best wishes

Stu.
