Know this is going to sound a little dumb to the older hands around here, but just what exactly are the implications of MFME2? Is it just that it will do a better job of existing fruities, or will it open the door to machines that previously could not be emulated? Please explain. :?

it includes 7 additional technologies (Impact, MPS2, SYS1, Scorpion 1, Scorpion 2, SYS80 and SYS5) and will therefore allow alot of older machines to be emulated.
it also allows certain layouts that did not function correctly in mfme 1.1 to work (mad house for example).
i hope that clears things up abit.

the Global 7 segs still don't work though. Do they?

RB managed to get the global segs working in mfme 1.1, so maybe the configuration he used on his pcb layout will work on mfme 2.
