Well ram err 53 is back... Voltage on the board and battery was 3.4v the other day but today (after it had been on for 20mins)it was 0.8v at both sides.
Could it be I over heated the battery when soldering making it useless or could a track on the board which charges the battery be knackered?
I'm guessing dodgy battery

Well i tried to attach the battery directly to the board and snapped a leg on the battery (getting solder out is hard!!)
Question is, do I bother ordering another one or are the tracks screwed!?

Use a multimeter to test continuity of each track from each end of the damage, that will tell you wether they are shot or not. Be sure to check each one. If one is broken, its not the end of the world. If its a very small break. use solder to bridge it, or use a thin wire to bridge if its a big-ish cut in the track. I would have suggested fly-wiring a battery if your de-soldering isnt upto much as its so much easier. Usually scorp 4 boards are pretty easy to save

Update, its now dead (ish)....
Turn on and does nothing (red light flashing on board and 4 green lights on)
Leave it for a while and it seems to want to boot but just keeps restarting, if left long enough it will eventually stay on.
Ive took the PSU out and looks ok (though there are some burn marks where capacitors are close to the shell)
Im guessing its going to need a new board
Feel free to share your thoughts,
Thanks
Ian

Thoughts anyone?
Im tempted to just get a new MPU but given that if I leave it for a while it starts to boot (but resets but gets further everytime) im starting to think it could be the PSU
As always money is mega tight so dont want to pay for something if it might not fix the issue
