I couldn't really get the just of what you were saying... However the emulators here are for free use on any computer or device that runs them and most definitely not used for making profit from other people, because it doesn't accept or payout 'real' currency - and should never be used as such either.

I want to work with the emulator as if it were a real machine, I mean you can connect a hopper or a key for the payment of the credits earned to my clients.
in the picture you post looks a mame emulator that is connected to a electronic key for payment, I can also connect a hopper as the mame sends electrical signals through the program mamehooker let me know if this is possible with fruit machines

I know that should not be to put money benefits but only interests me and I think the technique would be more realistic q do it with a hopper or some way that people can have a record of your scores, perhaps a ticket dispenser or  hopper with tokens .. ... like a real machine

Emulators are for fun home use only, not to be used in a 'real' gambling environment, the creators didn't spend half their lives getting them to run, just so that someone can start a gambling arcade or whatever with them.

If like you say, you're only interested in 'money benefits', then I suggest you do like other machine operators have to do, go out and buy some real machines, invest your money in the stuff you'd like in your arcade and see what happens client wise.

TBH it all sounds dodgy to me and I for one won't be helping you to try and make money out of other peoples work

I don't think it's dodgy at all. I think the guy is simply wanting a more authentic feel like you get in mame with proper credit board so you can put money in etc. I think it's a great idea, unfortunately I don't think it's possible in any current fruit machine emulator.

You think not?

So why would he have 'clients' and more to the point why would he be wanting to pay them out?

See below

It's possible that I've not read it correctly as the wording is rather bad, but it seems to me that he wants to get or give money to the 'clients' that he has playing the emulations.

When I approved this thread I thought I had to comment on it about this point.

The English grammar is difficult to understand but I was assuming, as you were Phil that he wished to use the emulator for gambling purposes among his circle of social outlets... I emphasised in my post before approving the thread that the emulator isn't for this purpose at all, and I too suspect that the emulator is not wanting to be used for free and legitimate purposes.

I take it he will split the profits with the layout creator? NOT.
sounds super dodgy if you ask me.

Also the text on the sticker in the photo is Romanian.

I certainly wouldn't play this game. Sounds too fishy.

From the first post of this thread it was obvious that the person who started it was not English. The writing on the cabinet is in Spanish, saying it is prohibited for under 18 year olds to use it.

Think FME would do well to distance themselves from this sort of activity. If 'Lastman' is not going to use it for making money someone else will.

I think in all honesty now RDP mate, seeing as though MAME are now responsible for all the available MFME emulators that have been publicly released, it is their responsibility to police this activity, and not the FME scene inparticular.

We are showing our concern here, and frankly because the emulator is a free source download, there isn't much we can do when people have downloaded it... but if MAME be one aware that an emulator that has their coding in it is being used for gambling with real currency involved, no matter how the source, they will be very interested in those people.

Don't worry, the member's name is in our database for future reference ;)

I seriously think this guy just wants to incorporate fruit machine games for a more realistic home build that can pay real money...  I wish it was possible because I would like one myself.  A cabinet with all your favourite fruit machines on that interacts like the real thing and can pay and take money...   Sounds pretty awesome to me.

I was tempted to try something similar with my old Cluedo SWP cabinet but never got around to it. Coin acceptance would be easy (for single coins at least), however the payout aspect would have been a bit more awkward.

He might but I doubt it.

Think the temptation of making money from his 'Client' is too much to ignore.  Yes I agree, it would be an awesome project. It would involve DAC and ADC circuits to achieve this, along with experience in industrial electronics.

Then there is the ethics of all this, FME is essentially 'Open Source Software'.

In theory it's a great idea, but doomed in what it could be used for in the wrong hands,as so many great ideas are!!!!!!

in mame, mamehooker use to send the output signal of the hopper to a solid state relay that moves the hopper and the hopper sensor sends the return pulse to discount coins paid to play, also use electronic wrench to pay the total of credit earned, possibly fruit machines not available any similar utility that transforms mame mamehooker for virtual signals to handle real signals lights, hoppers, etc., maybe you could do something with the layout, but would have q reprogram rom the machine to stop before putting the bank at 0 and add a function that requires operator intervention to put the bank in 0 bone do final collecting coins.

hi, is really simply to make that, you must use mame hooker for the output signal hopper, but you must change the mame code source and compil.but i think is forbiden if you have not the original slot. you can find the original pcb for 30 usd on the net.
