Hey all,
Took the JCM note validator from the DOND that I scrapped and put it in to Club Clouseau (QPS machine on BFG Scorpion 4 hardware). Works fine in test mode (door open, test 1.3, pulls notes in, says note value and ACC and then spits out).
However, with the doors shut the machine starts to initialise, brings on the 4 lamps above the validator (£20/£10/£5/NOT ACCEPTING), spins the reels off... then the value lights go out and only the 'NOT ACCEPTING' light stays on, then I get the error and nice alarm noise
BNV key e.t.c. all sorted (shows KEY VALID) in test mode, so I'm at a bit of a loss now. It could well be a faulty validator (given the history of the machine!), but it seems odd it works in test mode and not with the doors open?
Anything I should be looking for?
What I have done (as per machine manual instructions) :
1) Connected 36-036-001 PCB in loom (from Noel, looks like a small adapter PCB)
2) Connected this to the JCM validator.
3) DIP SWITCH 3 on validator set to ON (it was anyway), all others OFF (apparently it needs this as it has a PB2 unit, not a stacker fitted).
4) Gone into test mode, entered BNV key as last 6 digits of JCM serial number (which was accepted).
5) Powered off the machine.
6) Now it doesn't boot with the doors shut
7) With doors open, validator seems to be working fine, in test mode at least.
Wires connected correctly as per my instruction manual for the machine
