Going to be starting my next one this week and looking at things The Great Escape is one not done yet so am going to give it a bash from scrap.

I know a DX version has been done and a £10 classic has been done. But I will be doing all this from beginning to end.

As soon as I get started I will post pics for you all to see :)

with jayzeewood's agreement if a flyer or a decent images can be found of said machine then this would be a joint venture by himself and me he does the classic side of it and i (if he doesn,t want to dx it!!!) do the dx part of it, so has anybody got any decent flyer,s or images of this machine preferably in the £5jp being done cheers

I created some artwork for this many, many years ago when mfme was still very exciting for me.  The artwork was pretty awesome back then and it's still pretty decent by today's standards.  The original 'dark' layout that I created from artwork is still rocking it...   At the time some people deemed this layout too dark :)

Anyway you are welcome to use the artwork I created.  You will need to download it from Dad's website.

Well I certainly wouldn't release it if it had payout issues.  I guess it needs an older version of mfme.

I believe, if I recall correctly that this slot did have issues with hopper payouts in MFME 3.2, and had to be played in MFME 2+ version for it to play correctly - it is a long time ago though, but I believe that to be the case at issue here :)

Wow, I created that layout 10 years ago!!!...    It was created in mfme2.    It's still a fairly impressive DX even though I do say so myself.  :)

I just checked and I did indeed create this layout in mfme1.0.  Hopper emulation is bugged out on other mfme versions thats why it won't work.  These roms use hopper payout.

The Rom I have pays out but I think I have gone wrong some where as it looks like door B is always open.

Surely there is a guide to building a classic layout somewhere in the resources section.   It really does pay off to learn the basics of layout creation and mess about with other peoples classic layouts before trying to build your own straight away.

Doors settings for Great Escape on the version I originally released are 38 and 39 you need to check these settings in the config menu though to see if they correspond.   I don't imagine you have changed these though.
