Hey all,

It's been a while since I've visited and in that time my knowledge has deteriorated somewhat.  But I'm looking to buy a table top style fruit machine (need to get rid of my Monopoly Hot Property when we move and downsize) but I cant remember the terminology to search for them online.  Is it Rio or something?  I can't actually name any machines of this style for a reference, possibly Red Hot Roll but I'm not too sure?

Cheers in advance

Rio cabinet is a complete casino-style round-top cabinet, you *may* be able to convert a Rio machine to a tabletop, or get one ready converted, but they generally come as a 6ft (or so) tall unit.

I was tempted to try and convert my Bar X to a tabletop, since all the electronics are in the upper section, but not sure if I can be arsed. Might increase the value though, and would be a fun project :D

There's not many cabinets I can think of which are specifically tabletop. They are normally referred to as 'bar top' rather than tabletop, so that might help with searches. There's been a couple doing the rounds over the last 12 months I can think of, several BGT Wild Cherry machines, and an Astra but I can't remember which one, or whether it was original or a conversion.

Cheers for the replies.

I'm not sure I entirely meant 'table-top', but just a smaller machine that isn't as huge as my current Eclipse cabinet.

Having not been in an arcade for a while, nor any of the old school manufacturers archiving their older games, I cant even give a decent example  :bigeyes19:   From memory, I used to always think the machines that were on black stands generally had all the electronics in the upper part, and the black stand/boxes were just there to give the machine some height?  Maybe something like Empires Clockwork Oranges or their version of Adders and Ladders?
