hi guys i have a magic 7 10p to play machine and i have a problem with it. I have alarm code F its sed in the booklet i have (ROM checksum error) Cash tube (s) empty of coins coin handling disconnected. Dose any body have a clue how to fix this any help is wanted thank you

Was it previously working or have you just bought it not working?

 

If you have, then the motherboard probably has battery leakage, meaning a new motherboard will be required.

 

If it was working fine and stopped, check for battery damage on motherboard or one of the rom chips is either seated incorrectly, inserted the wrong way around or has become corrupt.

if it is corrupt do i need a new one ? p.s. it was working befor  thank you for your help

Like Tommy says, it could be dry joints on the psu, I had the exact same problem with mine, you also might want to check that the piggyback board is seated properly as they can work loose.

 

It's the small board with the sec chip on it (green and grey in this pic), just above the battery, with machine off, pull it out and push it back in firmly taking care not to bend any of the pins on the back

what is dry joints on the psu is it easy to fix ?

The soldered joints have gone 'dry' ie cracked and not making a good contact, I just reflowed (heated them up with soldering iron till they re-melted)mine and never had the problem again.

 

Take the psu out and check everything that's soldered for cracks in the solder, loose wires etc.
