Yeah, it's a false positive. MalWareBytes used to pick them up as well.

 

Tell it to ignore the folder, or uninstall it and put Security Essentials on instead...

i have to say that while avast is free, its really not a good virus killer.

 

im a self confest pirate bay/iptorrents/demonoid freak and find quite often i come across viri first hand like many other seeders. from personal experience ive found nod32 to be absolutely top notch. avast didnt recognise half of the infected files which could be disastrous.

 

since im behind a router, im happy with windows7 firewall ans my copy of nod32  - no infection for 2 years now (but yes you can get false positives depending on your hierarchy settings)

A read of this may reassure you. Different version and AV I am aware....but the same seeds.

Yeah mine picked up 3.2 the other day to be a false positive so i simple turned it off while i loaded mfme 3.2  then started it back up..
