I find it really funny how the entire FME community has found the capacity to completely forget, ignore and get over what has happened in the past (because we've all grown up) yet you still want to continue with the crap and drama blaming any one you can.

 

FACT - Dad's FME and the members it contain were responsible for the death of FME. Every one knows it because they sat back and watched it happen. To try and deny that just makes you look barking mad.

 

Any way, back to FF for me. I'll personally pay the £130 myself if it comes to that.

About time we had a good punch up..... keeps the place alive

But anyway, one thing I will say about FF, is that back in the day when it was under Alex's full control (I understand now it's back under Alex's control at the moment), yes you did get the odd fight etc, but the place still continued to run well under his stewardship, despite the disagreements folks had.
 

Past few days, and Alex again made a fantastic, honest statement of affairs, and did not bullshit us around with words, saying his heart is not really in it any more, and I thank him for being so honest with us all...... something that is a rare thing these days in FME.

Whatever happens, I wish Alex all the best, and hope he sticks around to give folks a jab up the arse when needed.

i remember reading the posts over at dads, totally over the top, rude, offensive etc etc. eventually i even posted to dad himself and ask if there was a way for him to tone his posts down. (damn what was his name?)

 

 

I actually respect the fact that he had lots to say and he said it with fire and passion - as he believed it. But the remarks were so coarse that anybody who would spend countless hours coding for the likes of you and I.. well, i wouldn't stand for it either. i dont know the whole story, probably never will. but there was a point in time that visiting dads great forums started leaving me with a nasty taste in my mouth - so i gave up visiting. dad of course continued to release some awesome layouts.

 

as for the future, i too hope that the forums have great debait, but lets leave the personal remarks at home guys please.

Like I said, Fruit Forums has been VERY quiet. No slagging off, no trouble, for ages now. It's been a joy... a quiet joy, but a joy nonetheless.

 

It's funny how your site closes, your members come here, and it all flares up again. Not on your own doorstep, but on other people's sites.

As usual it was (insert nick here) who started with the insults.  It appears he hasn't 'moved on' one bit.

 

As for Wizard not releasing a new MFME, well that was more down to the MAME team rather than anything said at my forum.  Additionally it was NOT any of the DADsFME Admin team who alerted MAME to the fact that MFME contained MAME code.  I know full well who it was but I'm not prepared to dig all that up again.  

 

I'm tired having to continually defend the site and its members.  People just focus on the negative and forget all the good things that we did for FME.

 

Funny how posts like this have to be made the minute a certain individual re-appears isn't it?

you dont have to defend your site m8, it was a great site and anybody who had an account would know that. full stop period.

Oh behave. The only member from DADs to rejoin here was Alth, all the rest were already here and actively posting when this thread was made. In fact Alth actually made a helpful suggestion around de-FME'ifying FF (Christ knows how though).

When I said 'your members', I was actually referring to stanmarsh and DAD himself, as well as Alth. I don't have an issue with Alth, it's just that the 3 of them (whom I believe were 3 main contributors at DADs) suddenly coming here (this thread) and slagging off Fruit Forums seemed a bit... well... predictable. When I first saw this thread posted I actually sighed and said '... here we go again' - it was obvious what this thread would turn in to.

 

I do agree that Alth's suggestion would be an interesting one, but the fact remains you could rename the place and they'd still take issue, because they seem to get a kick from it. Which is fine, they've every right to - it's just a shame some people can't put their hands up and move on, they have to vehemently deny the bleedin' obvious and drag up the past.

Why not just accept that your forum (not saying you, just your forum) had members that caused some problems? I mean christ, people come here slagging off 'that member' because he posts at Fruit Forums and - god forbid - releases a few layouts, following a long period of calm. He's done bugger all wrong for years, and you know it. The only people saying he ever did this or that come from your forum... strange that.

 

You can surely see why he came on here and posted 'deluded'? I mean you are still totally unwilling to admit even the merest hint of responsibility. 

 

I don't side with people, but I do take issue with people who constantly dig at others without any basis (aside from their own version of events, from users of their own forums).

As for the people believe ruined mfme, they've long since gone.  Do you know 1 person has died?  (PM/email me for info).   But it's funny how Tony and Gary name different people altogether that ruined it.  And I'm not talk fat mackem c***s.
