Hello, I have a Caribbean Cash Mazooma fruit machine. I'm not really "tech savvy" about fruit machines so a little help would be appreciated. I'm interested in turning on the attract sounds. I have looked at the sticker on the back of the cab, which tells me which DIL switch is for the attract music... But I can't seem to find it.

I have attached a few pictures, some of the DIP & DIL switches, one of the mother board and another of the sticker with the information on. I'd be really grateful if any one could tell me which switch I have to flick, in order to turn on the attract music.

Thank's

Reece

I very much doubt you'll get any music during attract mode. Most you get from most machines is a sound sample played about once every 5 / 10 minutes, normally for a second or two.

Agreed it's a tiny sample of sound, but I don't even hear that! All the other sound's work fine, and the ROM is installed correctly? I wonder....

Just to confirm, does this machine definitely have sounds in attract mode? Have you heard / witnessed it before?

Reason I ask is that there's every chance that sticker might be wrong, I've come across no end of incorrect information on machine stickers, in instruction manuals, e.t.c.

Manuals are a good laugh... I often play 'hunt the mistake', doesn't last long though. They tend to be totally inaccurate, especially when it comes to gameplay :D

Well, I actually haven't heard the sound before. Although, my friend has an identical machine to me, with a slightly different theme, and the attract music plays fine. Both the sound Roms we have are identical.

How do you know the sound roms are identical? The files may be different.

Even if the sound files are identical, the program rom "may" be a different version that does not play attract music or sounds...

Early roms versions may have done, later ones may not...

Hi. This is along the lines of attract mode on most old machines like Albert Square and Coronation Street. I have noticed in MFME, for example, I load Shane's lucky numbers into memory. If I leave it in attract mode, it says things like "Hold your balls!" or "Everyone's a winner!" but with other machines like Instant win, the m1a simpsons, the Italian job etc there is no sound at all. Is there any sound in these machines or is it all lights even though I can't see them? Also is there a way to turn the sounds off? Once I had a mobility officer walk into my room come bar at college set up on my big speaker. I had Mike Reid's big night out loaded, it suddenly said "waaaaaaaaloooooooooop!" and started coughing. I think I almost have a portable travel arcade with me, I think the way things are going with epoch emu, Virtual bandit or epochalyps things are going to go a long long way! Hope I get a lot of likes for this. Off back to college next week, Monday the 9th. Will be looking out for more epoch vids and updates :) speak soon guys.
