What does the bouns "plus numbers" do on some machines? I can never work out how it works. It always seems to add random numbers.

Hi Abba
Plus Numbers, normally used on older JPM machines, is exactly the same as Boost from todays machines, in that it adds 'some' numbers to a trail - normally 1 short of putting you on the feature

unless you mean numbers in view where it will add any overprinted numbers visible in the reel window to your trail climb. usually 4 required to get on the board.

Hmmm...hadn't thought of that. I'll check when I get back from college, from memory Plus Numbers was basically just a boost, adding 'some' numbers, but it would make sense if it acted like Numbers In View I guess

There are three plus numbers features i can think of
1) boost - eg the machine gives you a random amount of bonus numbers to get to the feature trail
2) Numbers in view - the machine tallys up all the numbers from the 9 - 12 fruits in view and adds them to the feature trail
3) Number Finder - The machine shows 3-4 +numbers and then hides them before rotating them around, you then chose a reel 1-4 to select the one you think is the highest and that is added to your current feature trail.
Thats all the ones i can think of at the moment.

Could be like on Shark Ravid Mad where you get a succession of options to take. E.g, three plus two (if press select would come up 'equals five') four plus one, four plus five etc... Always guaranteed to get on the board as you only ever needed 5 in total ...

In the original post, the author said 'Plus Numbers', and I'm honesltly not aware of any modern machines which have used that term. Only ones I am aware of are earlier Impact machines [say mid 90s], and no doubt some before that on other techs.
The Plus Numbers on the Impact tech was, from memory, always just a 'random' boost, just adding any amount of numbers - but normally not enought to give you a reasonable win or put you on the board
