First of all apologies that my first post is asking for help, but if I can offer and help back regarding anything I will be more than happy.

I have recently acquired a Fantaztec JPM machine which I am am chuffed about from my next door neighbour , however I am having some issues.

It started off with a 60 00 error which I have found out is a general meter fault so I opened up the machine to check the connections to the meter which seemed ok , and the display on the meter is working fine. I check the connection on what I think is the motherboard and then the machine started working briefly then came up with and error 43. I opened it up again and checked the connection into what I think is the motherboard, then the display stopped working....
I decided to remove the motherboard after reading about batteries leaking, and found that the battery has leaked quite bad and a few of the terminals around the battery have corroded or have a powder like substance n them. Could this be the cause of the issue? Everything else seems to work fine on the machine and I am told it worked fine before it was store for the last year and a half. I have received some help on another forum that has identified the board as a Heber Pluto 6 board so i am now left with the option of sending the board to them for repair if they will do it expect it to cost circa £100. Or finding a replacement which seems hard... any ideas please guys?

I have included a picture of the damage...

Thanks

Dom

The unfortunate thing here is that this machine came out around when JPM were producing far fewer machines than other manufacturers, unlike the period up the early 2000's when they were very easy to come across in pubs and arcades - back when they used IMPACT hardware.

There are other manufacturers who have used Heber Pluto hardware - I'm sure Astra still use in some machines if not all, so at least there will be some boards kicking about, although you are more likely to get hold of one from an arcade or bingo operator / supplier, than a normal pub supplier. You may have luck contacting local arcades, or using the Yellow Pages or similar in your local area.

I can't offer any technical advice personally as I've no experience of this hardware - it's entirely possible that the battery leaking has caused the issues you've experienced, and I would certainly assume that a replacement mainboard would solve your problems.

If you don't have any luck locally, or they are too expensive, you could try these - although not all of these will necessarily deal with the public.

I dont think it would cost £100 to fix - More like £100 to purchase another board imo.
