I JUST WONDER HE IF THE GUY THAT COPIES THE HD HAS DONE A BAD COPY AND ITS MADE YOUR HD FAULTY OR EVEN CLEARED IT . BEST THING IS
TO PLUG THE HDS INTO A PC AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY THING ON THEM ??????

Proper IT company, not a 1 man band, they have said if the new HD don't cure the problem I can return for refund. They said it had done a 100% copy so should be all good, I wnder if I got something not plugged in, hence the video. but sure everything is where it should be.

try the other power cable into the hd . the other connection from hd to pc sometimes pulls away from its connection too , but it does look like the hd is blank and
also your old one too , a windows copy/ghost doesnt always copy properly . is there no one on here that can ghost a astra pc for you . ie stu star leisure

I have asked star Leisure on ebay (forgot you was on here mate lol)
he said he was gonna ask his tech guy if they could "image" a drive?
its annoying because with these its all a PC not sections of boards you and swap and try like a normal fruit machine lol

I had a Barcrest Sit Down machine once, which got f***ed up, and someone from here kindly reimaged it for me - it worked the second I put it back in the machine, so hopefully the same will work for you

your 'IT' company has merely copied the error from one drive to another.
as for the 'going to sleep' error, your monitors have detected that there is no signal. typically your internal PC is not giving an output. this could be a few things but the basics are -
1. your pc is not booting/not powering up
2. your gfx card has gone.
if it was me... replace the old hd and then plugin the keyboard, and press R at the main screen to attempt repair.
OR
strap the HD to another system as a slave and run check disk to attempt and repair bad sectors etc.
that said, your best bet is to get an image of the drive from a supplier. I noticed star leisure had your machine in stock, i'm more that sure their engineer would do you a copy (send your HD to them and he will image one to your HD) for a small fee for his time.
starleisure (stu) is on here or checkout his stuff on ebay. hes selling the astra machines around the 995 mark. if he cant help im sure he will put you in the right direction.
hope that helps buddy (no pun!)

Good idea to get a ghost copy done, but (sorry if this seems like I'm being patronising), are these Astras like the Rio cab, in that once you've changed the HDD, you need to reset all the pc settings?
I ask as after watching you vid, it seems to me like the pc isn't booting, at least I couldn't hear it in your vid.
Does it have a soft reset button on it like a Rio, which you need to manually switch on, till you've reset the settings?
If so have you pressed it?
Nails has mentioned this below, hence the 'going to sleep' as it isn't seeing an output from the pc.
I also agree that if the guy has just copied your old HDD, then he will have copied any errors as well, so in effect you have 2 HDD's with exactly the same problem.
I think you'll find, you need a working ghost image to be put on the HDD (might as well get them both done at the same time, then you have a spare), but before sending them to Stu, I'd also do as nails said and if there is a soft start button on the pc and pressing it to boot (or try to) then add a keyboard and try pressing 'R' if it doesn't work, you've lost nothing, but at least you will have tried. What have you got to lose? It's already shagged and you can still get it reimaged afterwards!
Good luck and I hope you get it sorted........ soon!

Thing is now it does nothing, if they copyd the HD then it would still boot up.and crash but it does nothing. I have had the no output before but it was because of something loose so gonna check all the plugs, hopfully Stu will be able to do me a copy, will that copy work with my usb dongle? Are they coded to certain copys?
Thank you all for your help, these are an arse to fix lol

Right, with the door shut all I get is a blank screen. It don't say "no signal going to sleep" its now just blank. with door open you get "no signal going to sleep" this is what happened when I first moved in and realised it was door not shut properly.
so now it sits there blank doing nothing just lights at the bottom are on (which I think have nothing to do with PC)
top lights do nothing and both screens are blanks so maybe the copy has wiped both HDs? but they said it had copied correctly and should be all A OK.

Is there another vga socket on the pc? if so try connecting a monitor to it - it may be that the onboard graphics in the bios is switched on and needs to be disabled. if that is the problem you may have a flat bios battery.

You still haven't said whether or not the pc is ACTUALLY switching on, does it make a noise?
If like Dave says, you have a flat battery, it will most likely do the same thing and lose all it's settings.
Is there a switch on the pc casing, probs a red rocker one?
If so, have you tried pressing it?
I'm trying to think logically here, and it's a pc at the end of the day, if it's lost it's settings, to me that means it won't know to boot as soon as it's got electric to it (on a rio, it's called 'boot from power failure' and this has to be set to 'on' after a dead bios battery, or when you've had the HDD out.
If you've already tried this to no avail, then just tell me and I'll shut up lol.

Best idea is send me in the pc - If you cover postage both ways i will test in one here and let you know what we find - It costs nothing to just plug in and view the fault.
Worst case is you loose your postage both ways and dont want it repaired by us.

Sounds good mate I will need an address and I can send it over. Should I send both hard drives so you can see if its a decent copy?
The PC is deffo running you can hear a bleep when you turn it on. there is a big red switch under the PC and Ive switched that.
The cover is off the PC so I can see inside most of it so I will have another look.....................................................
(tick tock tick tock)
Cant see anything, I can see the battery behind the HD

If the PC is powering up, I'd say the drive image is at fault
