It isn't that we have missed the thread, or threads as such... it is because FME has become so stale (and we members accepting this), we wouldn't recognise something if it came up, bit us on the arse and shouted 'Yankee Doodle Doo'.
Because the lack of progress in the emulators (apart from how Epoch seems to be progressing - but that tech doesn't float my boat anyway) has been so predictable, it is easily done to overlook something, that on the whole, isn't really 'knicker-wagging' but in the scheme of things, a very important development.

Just noticed i posted in the thread made and it doesn't show up on the main page.People could be missing this who have valuable information or who could help with the layout tools etc.Can it be made so it shows up on the main pages like all threads do.This is probs how i missed it as it didn't show up in view new content

I suspected that was the case as I could not believe that such an important thread was being ignored by members who I felt would be interested.

It seems pointless now putting up that section requested by you for MFME in MAME doesn't it?
...and no doubt he is mate - no doubt he is!
I'm even more glad that I went to a Mac computer now - Windows for just a fruit machine emulator was a little obsessive back in the day!
we,, those forums were created with the best of intentions - as pointed out from el condor.
as haze said, i suggest we just take a gasp and see what happens next.
