I have downloaded some mkv files in the past of various sizes,some cause me problems,why will a 6gb file not fit on a hd with 12gb of space on it,also i have a 32gb memory stick empty but when i try to copy file onto it it says destination full,any help please

Format the memory stick to ntfs not fat32.

Theres a lot of fake memory sticks out there as well that say 32GB and you lucky to have 4GB.
