OK... I've just been reading a post about club machines in work places etc... and a member *beenie* mentioned that it's not ALL guys on here.

Which although I am a guy, agree that gambling isn't a MALE only thing.

Which brings me to this post.... Who do people think gamble more?

I know most of the time it's 'lads' in pubs on machines or 'kids' in arcades.

But if you look closely, (or in Casinos) it's getting more and more Women based.

A man will lose his money in 30 minutes in an arcade, where as a woman will strategically walk around weighing up all the pros and cons, then play one machine for hours (well down my way anyway)

And casinos... the ammount of Roulette and Poker tables that have 70% women ALL betting big.

I will state ONE THING tho....

AGE WISE, the OLD ladies BEAT everyone!

you never see old men playing fruitys, only 70 year old women playing Bar X and having £90 in the bank or something, or taking up all 4 seats in a £5 party time.

Where do all the old men go while the ladies are gambling???

IMHO, once you go above say 40 years old, it is possibly more women then men, or is at least very close between the two sexes.

However, below 40 or so, from my experience, I'd say it is about 75% men, 25% women on the machines I've seen.

Usually it's the women that will stick like glue to a lo-tech until they have drained it dry. They don't like to leave anything in for the next person.

Old people can and will make errors of judgement, as well as running out of money. It seems to be the overweight 40-something women who are the most aggressive and 'dangerous', especially on Electrocoins, Astras etc.

Very rare to see a woman on a hi-tech though.

Like Bencrest was saying. From what ive seen, its usually young blokes who play fruities and then you get the 40-90 yr olds playing the bar x machines.. oh the fun of the bar x machines hehe.

Why do they cover the third reel when its spinning, I mean thats really going to effect the outcome ROFL

I am a very passive gambler nowadays (I only waste change) in the past I was up for it now I just hate the damn things, sadly I introduced my mrs to them and try as I might she still plays shitty recent machines. £10 rounds *really* piss me off and Pash is a cross between me and my mrs it makes a fun night, oddly enough the mrs says "its gonna kill me" and I have already said "death" at the press of the start button......I am not disappointed. :)

Fun Times they are.

I haven't played a machine in about 7, maybe 8 months now. Sure, I've put £10 in total in that period into 2p pushers [including the EXCELLENT Namco - Pacman Ball], but I have a bag of Taiwanese shite to show for it!

Yeah, I tried to get my dad to quit - in a supportive manner - wasn't having any of it. All of the predictive shite that gets released, say Big Cheese by Barcrest, you know damn well the next spin will give you ? mark for Hi-Lo continue, or just a Game Over space, so I just say 'unlucky :)'
