I,ve installed the latest emu can,t download the extra layouts as my lappy won't allow the pac.files odd.
emu loads up ok but can't get any reels to show up maybe I,m doing something wrong

That said, Nickelodeon, the reels are out of sync. 3 of a kind dropping in / nudged in, no win.

having had a couple of hours on project amber tonite i am impressed
the loading times could be better over a min to load a layout
but i know things will get better thanks guitar

Thanks for the PM mate all having a few issues getting the layouts to run they freeze and then it just closes down this is after I have picked the machine I want to play I get the image of the machine but thats about it any ideas what I can change to get it to run the way it should from what I have seen the new look is alot better on the eyes just cant wait to get the machines running

Make sure the .pac files are in the layouts folder
Make sure the roms are UNZIPPED in the roms folder
Sounds like the emu isn't running, so missing roms is the usual answer.
Make sure you are using the link provided in your pm to get layouts. All older layouts are defunct
can the offline version be played when the online server is not online to carry on the testing during the day
Offline mode can be used at any time.

The loading times are a bit high but its the only way to do everything the emulator does. Even on monster machines there is a 20-30 second load time.

Thanks for your reply Guitar mate I have used the new layouts from the link its still the same problem its like all I have is the image apart from smash and grab it loads some of the lights and the alpha and then it will freeze any more ideas ??

thanks for letting me test. worked very well it seemed. it somehow made me play different knowing i was online. it felt more real like i had money to lose on it so i wasnt goin all out as i usually would.

@Bruce, same happens here. I don't think it's a roms issues as it says program and sound roms are found. Basically it's as it loads up, and displays the artwork, but then never starts the emulation bit.

Mine starters the machine bits but no reels and no menu. But I'm sure this will be resolved soon and we'll ALL be playing Amber at the start of the new year.

Updated layouts and exe files will be sent out for tonight.
Scorpion2 and M1a now work online (only 1 machine is converted for M1 though).
I have made some subtle changes. And as edit tools are disabled for online play, the lamp map creation has now been skipped, loading online games much quicker.
With a bit of luck System 83 may make an appearance online too.
Testing will resume this evening sometime after 7. If you want to be a part of it post in here and I will PM you later. Those of you with names/passwords already can use existing names to login.
I will upload an updated exe here with details. Nick.
