Well looks like the £70 j/p is no more in the pubs, and the 'new' £100 j/p has been agreed,

Also the casino j/p has increased from £4,000 to £15,000, and the new max spin has increased from £2 to £5

The £5 j/p though remains the same

I don't often play the new machines any more as they are no longer fun, but cash eaters, do you think the new j/ps will encourage more play??

I don't understand why clubbers haven't gone to £500? I mean we have £500 machines in the local club anyway, albeit lottery-based video slots, so people are already used to £1 play / £500 and it's popular with the hardcore players.

I think the £500 j/p will be phased out of clubs in any form, they are also looking at the high stake machines, i.e. £100 stake for £500 j/p typical in bookies. I agree though £400 is a odd j/p.

I think the reason of putting the j/p to £70 in the first place is because they couldn't put old clubbers in pubs as their lowest j/p was £75. I know if I had a pub now (use to be a tenant), I'd bring in a old £100 club j/p - profit would be down, but playability back, remember the days 10p a spin!!!!

There's no playability in a 10p/£100.

Exactly! 10p a spin and after you have been playing for 4 weeks to finally win the £200 jp the other one on £1 play has paid 2 jackpots a week every week and has made the owner 10 x more money! Most new gen peeps don't care about gameplay as they want money easy so  simple games are played like rainbow and alike.

I think a £400 on 50p/1.00/2.00 would be fairly good, if 25p was put on it then it would play a lot crapper as 1600x stake but 200x stake if on max would play an ok game, maybe even forceable.....that would really increase takings!

Yep, and they were the good old days.

For all the crap that is out there now, I wouldn't put a £1 in any of them.

That's all I have to say.

I only play the one in our works canteen. 10p a spin, £150 Jackpot. Currently have Rocky. Don't think I would be tempted to play the machines in the bookies, too many horror stories from people at work who have done £500 + in a weekend, would much rather spend that money on something useful or you could buy your own machine. As for £5 a spin, you may as well take your pile of cash and a match and burn it.

Come here to post jokes, oh and to play the occasional frutie.

£500 in a weekend? Try £500 in 10 minutes at £5 a go. Add some FOBTs to that you could get to easily £20k in a weekend!

Yeh I am getting ready with my jackpot change kits for January. Pending final confirmation.
It's £400 as they need to be able to seperate from b3 machines. And if they're changing b3 to £5/£500 then they can't have clubs mistakenly having what they think is a club machine (because of the jackpot) when in fact it's a b3.
Gotta admit these changes are happening very fast.. 5/10 years time is it going to be £250 in pub and £1000 in clubs.... Crazy.
