Hi guys, Have just purchase said machine, but this particular version seems to be only £25/£35 and you cant even change decals on this version. I would of liked to at least try the machine on £5 setting but the current ROMs don't allow it. I was wondering if anyone knows if there was ever a £5 set that will work in a Scorp 5 machine? and if they are available to burn? Very doubtful but thought I'd ask. Cheers.

DOND 4 reeler - Scorp 5 £5 JP?

I am no expert on scorp5 but it may need pic chip as well.

Thats a good point that I didnt think of! Yes the program card does look to have a pic chip slot which currently has a chip in it. Im guessing now that means finding a rom set is going to be near on impossible!

£35/25 programme would still have £5 settings in the programme. Cant remember if you have to have it on dual/stake 10p/20p tho would be dil 13. Also your setting the key up as £5 20p or £5 10p or is it a fixed key. Also never always go by what they tell you in the manual as the software and the paper don`t always match up.
The only thing if it still wont push for it is a change of software. Updated set of proms would still contain legacy provisions for Cat D (£5) also containing a legacy pic info from PR ver and SC ver before a full production ver of software was made
Pic was also used at the time added to scorp4 and become the norm on scorp5 was a part of dereg software credit to transfer

This version was a dedicated piece. Some later versions and rebuilds go to £5. Sadly these don't as the rewards are screen printed onto the glass...

They still do go the printed glass would of been just a kit (sw/glass/decals or not). I remember craping the glass on some dedicated units just to do a cut and shut job put a decal in and put the new set of prom`s set the key up (blue tact sticky back plastic and a bottle of fairy and I made a rocket) lol

I'll have a go with my variable keys impact. However without a key (or when I try set to 5 quid 10p) it asks me on startup to choose £25 or £35. No mention of £5. In regards to roms and pic chips, are you saying that a set exists that would work on scorp 5? And would I need a pic for £5? Thanks for your help so far mate. I'll see about that dual stake option and try 20p on the key. Cheers

Update: just tried the key on 20p 10p and 5 stakes and none work with £5 so I fear it doesn't accept it in this romset. Also dil 13 appears to adjust the higher stake's percentage increase. Don't have a manual unfortunately.

I was pretty sure it wouldn't work but thought I'd make sure and tried everything first lol.
